    Opus more like hopeless!

As soon as I had notification of the change of cards ownership i opened a credit card account with Tesco.

I am still waiting 2 weeks on for my card and each time I speak to them they tell me there has been a delay on sending the cards out!

I want to get my balance transfered over as i am being charged this massive amount of interest by Hopeless... oops i mean OPUS!

Stay clear of them folks, they are a cowboy setup with excuse after excuse!

    Now to top it all!!!

I rang tesco after getting the card number from Hopeless....

THEY DONT RECOGNISE OPUS AS A BANK!!!

Cant do a balance transfer!!! CRAZY!
  • Looks like Tescos are slow getting themselves updated. Happens every time a new card is launched.

Im not exactly sure what my rate was but i think it might of gone down.

I was on the easyjet card, and my minimum payment (BY DD) has been about £70 per month, got the latest statement in from opus and the minimum payment is £50.

Ill do a bank transfer for the other £20 quid as might as well get it off the balance.
  • I also received new opus card but on checking the relevant interest rates, I have discovered that mine are 29.3% for purchase and balance transfer and the cash rate is 34.40%

Never used it when it came under Citi and no intention of using now it is OPUS. However account has now been closed.
  • I received a CITI card statement in Nov & paid my bill well before it was due, however I have now had Opus on the phone twice chasing for payment saying it's not been sent through to them!! Customer service is apalling as obviously the first person (who I spoke to for almost 20 mins!) never done anything about this issue and the guy tonight advised me to make another payment to Opus now to bring my account up to date to avoid a charge!! I'm raging at the prospect of me getting a charge for a poor handover between these 2 companies! Needless to say I informed them that under no circumstances was i accepting any charge on my acct as a result of their incompetence! Has anyone else had a similar problem with their payments transferring over??
  • i had a platinum card with citi - what now? The new opus card is a bog standard mastercard. Am i entitled to demand a platinum opus card? I dont want to 'apply' for it as i know i wouldnt qualify for a platinum now due to a job change but i never miss payments etc and it seems highly unfair that my previous card had that status which i will now lose?
  • I too, was transferred from CITI to Opus - yes indeed, what a farce. My card was 'declined' on Monday ( never happened to me before ) When I rang the number on the card, I was told that my last payment had not been recieved, and I would I like to make a payment now? As I have paid, proven by bank statement, I was not about to pay again - so I registered online to check my statements, as suggested. After registering, and trying to log in, I was 'blocked' for 'security reasons' . I rang the number for 'customer services' shown on the screen, but could not get through to anyone who could help, in fact, one advisor told me to call the number I had just called him on!!
I honestly don't think they actually have a CS department, and after 6 phone calls, going round in circles, I quite honestly, have given up - will now cut up my card, send it back, and go without a credit card- I don't want to deal Opus anymore.

But does it really matter. I can't see how anyone with a cc with a sub prime lender like Opus can be a cc snob.
