Sold an item on ebay that CLEARLY stated what it was, but....

I've sold an item on ebay, clearly stating that it was ONLY for the xbox 360 console.
I also put on that there would be no refunds for the wrong console (In the hopes that they would read it properly before purchasing).
However, someone has just paid £32.50 under the impression it was for the Playstation 3 console.
I've sent an ebay customer support ticket to ask what I should do, but figured I'd also ask for any advice here.
Am I legally required to give him a full refund? I have the Item to deliver, but of course she/he has no use for it.
Of course I'm aware that the moral thing to do is to refund, but I'm mainly thinking about the seller and paypal fees, which would add up to about £4 from this transaction.
Any advice would be great, thankyou.

If they understand that they had misread the listing why not offer a refund minus any of your costs. Seems a fair way to do it if they have no use for it.
If I was the customer, I would accept that.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
Yes I think I'll do that, but I'll also be depending on ebay to relist the item with the amount he bought, as It was BIN and he bought all of them that were remaining.0

How can someone have been mixed up and thought they were getting something for an xbox 360 console when you were actually selling something for a PS3 console?
What did it say in your listing?Tank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0 -
Hi Shellsuit, I'll copy and paste
"10,000 coins for Fifa 11 Ultimate Team on Xbox 360
Follow these steps once you've bought the item;
1. Pay
2. Put a bronze player up for auction for 10,000 BIN, 24 hours.
3. Send me a message on ebay with the name of the player + your team
4. I will buy the player via the web app, recording it for proof.
Thanks!

Looks clear enough to me! I don't know how they could have got confused by that ~ I'd just send whatever it is you have to send, their mistake, their problem!Tank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0 -

Thanks, but the problem is, i can't, the item depends on them having an xbox 360 console, with xbox live, fifa 11 and fifa 11 ultimate team. I have the items ready to deliver, but he has no way of receiving them, as it's not possible to trade across consoles.0 -

I'm with you now ~ looks like you'll have to report as a non payer and relist then I'm afraid.Tank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0 -

Refund and relist then? Can you do a mutual cancellation for the listing where you both agree to close it?Tank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0 -
The listing is already closed, as he bought the lot, I've never had to refund on ebay before so I'm a little bit confused haha0
