Orange/Wanadoo..Another day lost

Anyone else having total garbage service with Orange...again for the last 24 hours a complete loss of service, for us it was the third time in as many months, one occasion was for five days.
As i run an internet based business is there anyway i can claim loss of earnings?
Customer services offered me a month free..joke..as expected though, they really are a law unto themselves.

  • Last time I had a problem with my connection I got £10 for the loss of 2 days internet access. I've had no access for the last day or so due to this massive power failure thing, so I'll be asking for the same again.

well, unless your actually on a business broadband account, no... many isp's do always suggest that business should go on business accounts, as they are generally more reliable, and you might actually be able to claim more from them in events like these....

i've got a wireless connection and have theire hub
i just moved house and had to wait to be reconnected, for those who have got it, a red light flashes telling you that there is no connection.

last monday phoned them and was told i had been reconnected but leave it 24hrs to make sure.

tuesday - still flashing, phoned, went through the setup of wireless box and reset it. phone back in 24 hrs so they can contact bt for line check

wednesday, still flashing, phoned and was told they had contacted bt and were waiting results. please phone in 48 hrs

phoned thursday instead. was told the line test was ok, checked set up and reset AGAIN. said they'd do their own line test.

friday. hadn't been done, there was 'confusion' and the request hadn't been sent, phone back in 48 hrs.

left it til monday, orange not working.

tuesday, told they knew nothing about a line test, phone back in 24 hrs
    aaargggghhh

    wot would u do?

I upgraded to Livebox last month. Horrendous problems ever since, thought was sorted (after 1/2 hr phonecall) then started to disconnect & reconnect all the time. Gave up trying to get through tonight, ended up phoning customer services (ha) and asking for MAC code - wasn't even asked why so reckon I'm not the 1st . They are sending me label to return livebox & I've asked bank to reclaim last payment which included £20 line speed upgrade which still has not been done.

Now, who shall I [strike]let !!!! me off next [/strike] give my business to now:think:

Edit: forgot to say - since I rang them tonight I have had 2 hours continuous signal.....
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

I am soooo annoyed I can't get onto broadband and feel so thick!! I have the livebox, it is all connected properly (I have checked instructions 5 times) but it keep sating can't connect why else would this be? I have contacted Orange who are no help whatsoever! they said there was a fault on the line etc but that has now been sorted but is there anything else I can do to check my end...ie on my computer?

    Thanks
