Morning All
Woken up with a temperature and generally feel like !!!!!!....thanks DH & DD. Not supposed to be in contact with anyone ill as I have no immune system at the moment, due to the Lupus & meds Im on....but what do you do when its in the household..lol
If it gets worse, I will call GP as I go downhill rapidly and can be very dangerous  DD is now back to school but OH is still quite ill.
Anyways, have got 2 loads to do and will hopefully keep dry so they can be hung outside, using no tumble drier, 20 min blitz....then probably nothing as OH and I feel so rough. So will just rest up-watch a couple of films etc.
I have some soup in-so thats lunch sorted and have other bits and bobs if not feeling up to cooking etc. Will keep my fluid intake up as much as possible.
Had my delivery received from Tescos yesterday and they had made some mistakes and goods werent good enough, so sent a complaint email yesterday about the quality of certain items and that 3 frozen items were unsuitable. Havent heard back yet, but will re-send today if no reply. This means I have had to complain to both Asda and Tescos this week....didnt think filling my freezer would be so difficult..lol
Hope eveyone has a nice day and will catch up later.

Good morning all!!
Well I'm up, have had a cuppa and have made DD's breakfast. I'm just about to jump in the bath and get ready for work.
Last night we had HM pizza - and I have to say they were delicious!!! I will NEVER buy ready made ones again - it was so easy!! In fact I am going to make the pizza dough up every Sunday and pop in the freezer so there will always be some ready to use!!! I have an expensive pizza stone (Pampered Chef!!) and finally it's getting some use!!
Sorry to hear you and your family are poorly Penny!! It's not much fun when you all go down with something - hope you all get better soon!
I'm going to try and make some HM Baileys this weekend - both me and DH lurrve it!! So we'll see how it goes!!
Anyway, off for a bath, get ready for work and wipe up last night's dinner (well at least I washed it!!)
Take care everyone and have a good day!Squares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)0 -
Hello Everyone
Totally tired today, ended up working 14 hours yesterday thanks to a photo call and last minute meeting:(
I can't speak today - good for a newsreader!! Just can't get my words out. Must be the tiredness
Hardly ate anything yesterday owing to the hours I worked, and my mother and grandmother had eaten everything when I got home, so I went hungry.
Oh and my kidney's hurting - recurring problem. So that means no tea or coffee till it calms down.
So generally, not off to a good start todayComping, Clicking & Saving for Change0 -
Hello all
Sorry you're under the weather PP - hope it doesn't get too nasty for you.
I have this morning at home with DS2. As aunt is staying with mum for 3 weeks, I don't have to go so often so maybe I can get on with some of my own jobs. My aunt came over to give me a break as much as to be with mum.
So, will finish bedding off today and give my bedroom, dining room and bathroom a good going over. DS2 is at pre-school this afternoon, so that should give me over 2 hours - unless I get tempted by being in hereWill do DS2's speech therapy 'games' this morning and may get him to practise holding a pen properly - he can type his own name on the PC and work out most of the kiddy games on the internet sites I let him visit so he's obviously a child of the future
I hae informed Mr TM that I am embarking on a freezer and store cupboard eat up in readiness for Xmas, so he'll be getting whatever falls out into my hands for his meals (low fat natural yoghurt and lettuce anyone) Have some pasta bake in the fridge so that will do me and DS2 for lunch and tea will be - probably fish.
Righty-oh, need to get on. Have a good one

Home made bread is just out of breadmaker and soup is in the slow cooker.
Managed to freeze a helping of the chicken curry I made last night.
Might make a pasta dish tonight for daughters while DH and myself have soup.
Trying to summon up the strength to start on the ironing but having a browse round here first to cheer myself up.
Sorry so many people are feeling ill - big hug"This site is addictive!"

Hi all,
sorry to everyone who is feeling rubbish. That includes me, as have just been turned down for a job I really wanted, after 2 interviews and 2 weeks of sleeples nightsAnd no more interviews in the pipeline because for some reason no one wants to meet me
But at least my zucchinis have sprouted
And I am looking forward to a beautiful meal made of mince and loads of fresh veg yumyum. Also got some beautiful asparagus on offer, really cheap, and have never cooked it before. It looks very young, can I just steam it? And does it need to be sauce bernaise or can I serve it just with butter?
Anyway, let's hope tomorrow is a better day for all of usThree years, six months, three weeks, 13 hours, 48 minutes and 30 seconds. 26011 cigarettes not smoked, saving $11,704.80. Life saved: 12 weeks, 6 days, 7 hours, 35 minutes.0 -
morning and (((hugs))) to all those in need.
Sorry to hear about the job BQ. As regards the asparagus yes you can steam it, and serve with meted butter to dip it in. Yummy.
Right today I shoul have been working but the old banger has let me down and I can't get it repaired this week, so I will have to work at the weekend again.
I will put a beef casserole of some sort, in the slow cooker soon, and get the Breadmaker whirling. I have had a quick whip round but my littlies room really needs a good clean up, so I might tackle that next. I also have a mountain of ironing to get through but can't face it yet.
Yesterday I had to have the council plumber in as our hot water flow had slowed to a trickle, so thst involved 5 hours of trying to remove a seized up ancient imersion tank and replacing with a new one ( thank god i', council)
so I didn't get much done yesterday. I,ve also got to find somewhere to put the contents of the airing cpboard as they too k out the shelve to put the tank in and it's bigger than the old one, so needs reshelving.
Still on the money saving plus side this takes a fraction of the time to heat up the water so my leccie bill should be cheaper now.
Right off to do some work. Have a good day everyone, and a big hug to all those feeling poorly.0 -

DD is off school with the flu bug thats going around for the second day running
Then yesterday afternoon I've started with the same symptoms
Yesterday was quite productive - I spent almost the entire day outside in the garden as it was a lovely day here. I got almost all the washing done and dried on the line as well.
Our garden is looking very bare now. I took out all the tomato plants as they haven't done anything for the past 2 weeks apart from produce more flowers and since my gardening book says they should be inside by the end of September I thought what the heck, lets do it now while I have the full day at home. I also harvested all my carrots and parsnips and used them in a stew. I took my strawberry plants out and potted them up so they can spend the winter in the kitchen. I dug out my chives and basil as both had been savaged by slugs/snails/caterpillers and I binned by bucket of mint as it was looking bad and majorly pot bound! I tipped all the compost from my pots onto the largest bed where I had had the tomato plants and salvaged all my crocks (read : smashed up old crockery) and put them into one pot ready for next season. I dug over the bed and then scattered about 2kg of 7:7:7 fertilizer on it and dug that in as well. I chopped all the leaves off the sunflowers as all of them were either brown or just the stalk left where the snails etc have had a fieldday  One seed head is almost ready I think but I'm not sure about the other three as one is still very white. If it hasn't done anything by the 3rd October I'll take it out anyway so I can dig in the rest of the fertilizer into that long bed.
Today I NEED to do the ironing as it is piled up all over the place and I've run out of clean tops. I need to also finish off my ebay parcels. Transfer some money from my paypal account to my bank account and sort out the listings ready for tomorrows uploading. There are other things as well, but my brain is not full functioning today and children's TV isn't helping:rolleyes:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
Morning!
Last night i made a gorgeous bolognese in (my mums) slow cooker! First time ive used it and a life saver after a month of microwave cooking. Was great to be eating "real" food. Will be investing in one myself :j
Also recieved my "steam grill" from tesco online so just made myself some baconyummy!
Tidied the house top to bottom last night as my friend was coming round who hasnt seen my house yet so wanted to make a good impressionPlus it was so shameful i wouldnt let my own dad in! :rotfl:
So todays plan is run to tesco in a min and pick up a chicken and a few other bits i forgot yesterday. Come back and put that in the slow cooker. Then go to the greengrocer and get some fruit and veg. And apart from vaccum through i dont think theres much else i have to do so have to see where the day takes me.0
