The interesting thing here, though is that despite fleabay saying no action was being taken, all the bids from the original shill disappeared.

Could she have done that herself?

They dont make it easy do they?

    Incorrect.
There is a link SPECIFICALLY for shilling>
    http://cgi1.ebay.co.uk/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?MfcISAPICommand=InlineSelfHelpWebform&wftype=2012&rcode=IV%25P10092&subject=Shill%20Bidding&bcrumb=Home%20%3E%20Help%20%3E%20eBay%20Policies%20%3E%20Rules%20for%20Sellers%20%3E%20Shill%20Bidding

This can be found by going to Help> search> SHILL> Click on Shill Bidding Link, then in that text somewhere is the highlighted word half way down REPORT.
It's not fraud and thus raising for this reason is invalid.

I have reported her anyway, as these 2 IDs need kicking off ebay.
It's BOUGHT (to Buy), not BROUGHT (to bring) AND you cannot be frauded, only DEfrauded.

Please do not buy animals from a pet store. Visit your local sanctuary or centre and give a good home to an unloved or abandoned animal.
  • In my experience, when I have reported shill bidding to Ebay both the seller and bidder have had their accounts either suspended or have been NARU within 3 days. You just have to provide evidence as well as suspicion. Send an email to Ebay listing all the auction numbers etc. They are forced to do something then.

Funnily enough, I reported their items and got EXACTLY the same reply, word for word. Same "person" too. Which makes me think automated reply.

I have thus replied and advised them that in taking no action they are effectively condoning the actions of the shillers, in breach of their own policies, to which I would like a reason and explanation.

That's probably why a couple of posters got such useless replies from ebay.
    My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j

I used the specific shill bidding reporting link and still got the 'no action taken' response!

I mentioned this above, but everyone has studiously ignored it:

If ebay took no action, how come all the first shill bidders bids disappeaerd?

Do you suppose that she went through and deleted them all herself, one after another?

    Can you do that?

Even if she did, why did she do that unless ebay contacted her?

Could be that she did it because you brought the matter to her attention earlier on.
    Can I help?

No, I sent her that email after she'd removed the 'deb' shills and replaced it with the single shill 20p below Naomi's final bid.
