I feel guilty now! I pay about £80 every 6-8 weeks, not including the shampoo and conditioner that I buy at the salon.0

catherineblack wrote:Ah just realised I spend on expensive shampoo and conditioner- John Frieda brunette - nothing else stops my hair from tugging/snagging - at £4.50 average per bottle - I'm paying far too much! So cheap haircut, but expensive hair products....boohoo.
I'm the same, only John Freida Blonde seems to sort my hair out but it is quite expensive! I usually try to buy it when the 3 for 2's are on at boots. Infact I think the offer is on just now for anyone looking. I stocked up a while ago so I don't need to fork out for it over the Xmas season! :T0 -
I spend £32 every 8 weeks on having a wash, cut and blow dry.
I also used to spend £8 a bottle on shampoo and a further £8 on conditioner. Until I woke up and smelt the coffee!!!
I now spend about £6 a month a month of hair products... so let me just number crunch... annually i spend... £280
:heartpuls CG :heartpulsEver wonder about those people who spend £2 apiece on those little bottles of Evian water? Try spelling Evian backward.0 -
Wet cut for me every four weeks at a cost of £18 - gave up having it blow dried (£10 for hot air) and coloured at the salon. As I've got short hair I can get two lots of colour out of one box so works out at £4 a go (use Herbatint). Can't give up the cut though as she's brilliant!
Talking of colour - why does it never seem to take very well at the hairline at the sides? It's the first bit I do so it's on the longest - it's fine on the rest!0 -
I spend £50 every 7 or 8 weeks on a cut, about £6 every 6 weeks for a colour (diy) and I use Philip Kingsley products, which are expensive, but brilliant. That's probably over £500 a year in total - eek! But having nice hair makes me feel good about myself and I think that's worth every penny.0

I'm in the £0 bracket and have been since I was 13 (the last time I visited a hairdresser). I've got very curly long hair and it's all the same length so styling it is pointless! I snip the odd split end off if I see it, give it a wash in whatever shampoo's lying around, and leave it to dry in curls. However, I do have to make sure I've got a bucketload of Daniel Field first aid conditioner handy at all times. It used to be available in Boots but it's only mail order now, so I splurge and order the big litre bottles! They do last a long time though. However, I'm now getting several grey hairs so I may have to go back to henna-ing it in order not to look too frumpy and old... Wonder if my bathroom can stand it?Before you criticise a man, walk a mile in his shoes. Then, when you do criticise him, you're a mile away and you have his shoes.0
