PICS! Got some rockets too & a TON of cakes
Have heavily overspent but the deals are too good to pass up on - anyone live near Stourbridge or Coleshill -> GET DOWN THERE :j
Barnett Hill - DY9 0EE
Melbicks - B46 3HY
Selection box is huge and mighty heavy, I'd say 8 - 10KG's guesstimate, comes with a 96 shot cake thrown in too! Pretty sure I got the last one of these but there were some similar but slightly smaller boxes & plenty of rockets & cakes
Kimbolton stuff is normally very good. £30 for that box is a really good price! I don't think you'd find it for less than £60 anywhere else. The seller must be mad!0 -
What's the roll of Dynamite thing Dan? Looks properly taped up, sure that's a firework & not something left over from the Channel Tunnel excavation lol
Heyy,
Lmao, I thaught that when I baught them. They were available from the fireworks warehouse for £12.99 BOGOF, made by RAGE fireworks from Absolute. It didn't say what they do or anything but looking at the wrapper etc it says mine/ shot tube/ fountain combinations so they sound quite good!
Also, its fine about the links Im glad I found them as it will give me something to do going through all your stash and seeing what everything does
Oh, and yeah the Lidl selection box. The Fire Pack contains 1x100 shot roman candle, 1x 7shot, 1x 60 shot and then 2 fountain/roman candle combinations which are the extras to the cyber pack. So really if your not after a few nice bigger roman candles then I would go for the 2 cyber packs as you would get 4 normal roman candles (5shot), 2 60 shotters and a range of fountains inc 4 volcano's which are supposed to be great!
Glad that this topic has livened up again! Mainly thanks to Si for posting his finds and pics

Cheapest I could find is about £70-£80, can not believe they have margin at this price. Wish I could get to one of the Garden Centres.......:(0 -

They must be selling them at a loss. I don't believe it's possible otherwise. The cost of transporting fireworks is very expensive, as is the storage for 1.3.g items (which I believe this pack is).
Most retailers offer it for around £80, I'd guess they're buying them at about £30-50.
Si7 certainly got a bargain. You can get a Brothers Companion pack for around £30-40 which is similar quality, but the Kimbolton stuff tends to be more expensive.0 -
i saw some kimbolton fireworks at a garden centre on the way back from where i got all my stuff from. i'd never heard of them before so i didnt think anything of it. maybe i should go back and take a closer look, i know they had half price offers on...!0

Most places do have half price offers (or BOGOF). The industry is very poorly regulated in that sense. Companies just make up RRP's and they're nearly always ridiculous.
Kimbolton pieces are normally decent though and should be better than your average supermarket stuff.0 -
