Ohh lol, I remember there being a largish cake available also.
Thanks to the info regarding tesco/asda.
Just got a decision to make regarding my Weco fireworks now. Do I go for:
Fire fighter cake
Carat 25 cake
Inpanema cake
Fire Pack selection
Cyber box selection
Cocktail rockets
OR do I double up one of the barrages and skip the rockets? They work out at only £6 for 8 so not a big loss if there rubbish!
Also, I just hope that they will let us swap and mix eg, cyber box and rockets (on 2 for £12) as 2 for £12.
If thats not possible I think I will go for 2x Inpanema barrage and 1x rockets and 1x carat 25 separately.0 -
well im a big fan of rockets but.... i only used the New Orleans in the weco range back then.... so if i was you i would double up on some barrages jus tin case there is reports of the rockets been crap after you buy themA desperate disease requires a dangerous remedy0

Lol i think we should make a protest on getting these supermarkets to get more power into these fireworks.... or better still just get them all to stock weco
before march2008,all supermarket fireworks were pretty good, then when the regulations came in for flashpowder fireworks,it classed blackpowder fireworks and flashpowder fireworks into 1.4g and 1.3g classification, laid down strict storage requirements for them and a few firework companies greatly watered down their stock to comply:and as a result,a)rockets lost their ability to bang with more of a pop and thinner poorer payloads giving limp rocket effect bursts,b)some fountains lost their ability to whistle and crackle loudly,c)mines no longer produce loud bangs like they used to,d)romancandles dont bang and emit comets, crackles and whistles, and other fireworks have got quieter and tamer as well. You can blame these regs for ruining fireworks! It also resulted in 1.3g fireworks only being available from specialised places like epic fireworks with strict storage requirements to fulfil, and regular outlets limited to the tamer poorer 1.4g fireworks.0 -

I had the barrage pack from B&M last year which was the same price and make (TNT) as Aldi's box. Must say it was very good for the price! Will also say though, I am going to buy from Lidl this year just in case we dont have another chance to buy Weco!0 -
hi guys,
ive finally found the website for the store i will be going to at the weekend. its not great, but they do stock a heck of a lot of stuff, ive seen it!
can you tell me which makes of fireworks are the better ones to go for? they stock TNT (which are not great i know), brothers fireworks and men-shun along with others too. are they any good? what sort of things should i be looking out for? i like big cakes, mines and rockets.
they will do a price match from websites too (epic etc) so if anyone could recommend me some stuff from epic, i could take the prices along with me and compare them
