Yes "unknowingly" break the law. If people are buying pooloads of fireworks then "i didn't know there was a law" is hardly a defence.

No excuse that, I'm afraid mate.

You can buy upto 21 days in advance anyway, that should be enough for you to get the best bargain.

when do fireworks start being sold in aldi,lidle morrisons and asda 2009. im havin a bonfire party on 7th november and want to start planning ahead and seeing what deals i can find

They CAN start to sell you firework's 3 weeks before November the 5th, which is the 15th. Some might start later than that, but no early.

Also the law is you can only have them for 3 weeks anyway, so you would need to buy your's on 17th October at the earliest. Some supermarkets take your name and address and keep a note of what you sold so don't risk it mate by buying too early. _pale_

Morrisons tend to start as soon as they can, ASDA a bit later. i think idle and adli will be the same, not ready to sell until close to bonfire night.

Most of the proper shops will have fireworks in now so you can visit one and put down a deposit for your order and pick it up near bonfire night or in your case the 7th mate.

In my opinion, (and it is only my opinion) anyone who buys their fireworks from a supermarket needs their heads testing...even more so with the new regs the supermarkets have to adhere to this year.

Just google 'Cheap Fireworks' or 'Half price fireworks'and go from there. You don't know what you're missing if Morrisons/Asda/Tesco/Lidl will be your only point of purchase for any fireworks....despite any of these BOGOF deals.....nuff said.

Remember if a shop sells you a load of 1.3g its YOUR responsibility to store it you need a licence for more than 3 days.

Fireworks Arcade are in New Barnet if that's any help...and depending which part
of London you are, Newsbox Fireworks are in Loughton.

i undestand that last year lidl fireworks were the best out of the supermarkets.

This year which supermarket does the best quality fireworks at the best deals?

That depends on the spec- Plenty of places still selling old spec 1.3 and if you know the right places to go, then they will not rip you off. Even some of the new spec 1.3 is great - take a look at Hercules 2 for example or Brothers Choice (4 pack) 30mm tubes with max noise..and King Cobra Rockets if rockets are your cup of tea...just visit Fireworks Crazy website for all the videos but plenty of other companies have videos to look at- not forgetting that videos rarely do a [great] firework justice.

Tell me - what do you mean 1.3 isn't for the general public ? Your wires are a little crossed if you believe that. If you've got a 25m firing zone then there's nothing wrong at all with having 1.3 (old or new spec) for your garden display...
