Hi
Does anyone know were to get some good fireworks in the west london area?
Have around £50 to spend. Was thinking Lidl or either going near Southall as there are loads of shops selling black cat etc down there.0 -
I bought some black Gemini rockets but I dropped the pack and one of the plastic cones on top of the rocket broke and now there is a little bit missing will it be ok to let off ?0

Other than if I have to go to a budget supremarket should we opt for Aldi or Lidl?
Fireworkmart, near the coalmining museum for Brothers fireworks(got some amazing bargains from there, this year)
Both have websites0 -
I wouldn't let that black Gemini off personally but someone with more know how might give a better answer0

You have £50 to spend and you are going to buy something that goes up in smoke? I can't believe that in this day and age people still waste money on fireworks, not to mention the untold damage it does to local wildlife and other poor animals. I saw school kids with lit rockets in their hands the other day, aiming them at each other - stupid idiots, really don't have a clue (and where do they get the money?).
I realise the poeple on this thread won't appreciate my POV but I speak for a lot of people.Less stuff, more life, love, laughter and cats!
Even if I'm on the shopping threads, it doesn't mean I'm buying! Sometimes it's good to just look and then hit the CLOSE button!0 -
Everyone on here uses them responsibly and loves fireworks for example I am 15 an save every penny to spend this year I have about £300 pound nothing wrong if used responsibly probably. If you don't like fireworks don't comment on the page to put everyone down0

Hi juliebunny. first can i say i love cats and of course this isnt the best time of year for pets and wildlife.
As for spending £50 on fireworks which are going to go up in smoke ,that isnt a lot nowadays on keeping going a tradition which goes back hundreds of years.
For you it is a waste of money. I can think of some things which are a waste of money,, sky tv ,alcohol, cigarettes, drugs, women having their nails done in a chinese nail parlour.
im sure others will have their opinion, but we live in a free country for now and we should celebrate that.0 -

Understood that work still needs to be done to keep fireworks out of kids and idiots hands. The majority of people are very safe when it comes to fireworks and providing you follow the guidelines you will have no problems. As for wasting money, well, its my money and I'll spend it on whatever the hell I want. I enjoy fireworks so I buy them, I'm sure there are things you enjoy (maybe?) that you spend money on that I might think is a waste. Don't be coming into a fireworks thread and start complaining about us spending money on somthing we love and setting off a few fireworks. Go and voice your opinion to someone who will appreciate it please, you won't find them here.0
