  • I only payed 25 quid for mine and a lot of the fountains do feel light weight for the size but for 25 quid not bad

As I've left it late, looks like I may be reliant on the supermarkets once again. Any recommendations between Tesco, Sainsbury, ASDA or LIDL? ... or mix/match between them? I've used LIDL the past two years and have found them to be good value (apart from the rockets). The other 3 are probably more convenient though. Looking back at recent posts, has there been some safty scares over LIDL fireworks?

Used to buy from Sainsbury/Tesco but didn't find them much good. Maybe they've improved these last 3 years?

I usually buy maybe 3 or 4 semi-biggies (around the £25 price range), plus a smaller selection box and some rockets. Generally I've found the rockets on sale from all supermarkets to be naff, so would especially appreciate some recommendations for these.
  • anyone heard of Bad Boy Fireworks?

A factory near me has some posters up in the windows advertising them. I think they are made by Diamond Fireworks.

from the look of them, they are WILDLY overpriced. But then again, they may be that good to warrant the rrp.

    Anyone have any experiences?

There were some safety concerns with one of the fireworks from the Lidl range (Aquila) but that has now been recalled and is no longer for sale, all the rest of the Lidl range is fine though and is still probably the best you will get from a supermarket. :)

    Firefighter £9.99
    Ipanema £7.99 (3 for £20
    Fire Pack £12.99
    Cyber Box £7.99 (3 for £20)
    are all fantastic value too!

May also be worth checking sainsburys, a few people have said their plasmic nights shot tubes are quite good for the price this year (£9.99 bogof), 4 in each pack. Maybe you could get these instead of rockets, they have a similar effect (one burst) just without the stick etc... I don't think you would be able to get any really decent rockets from supermarkets sadly.

Not sure about tesco/ asda this year but I persume its not much cop tbh!
    Hope that helps :)
  • I thought the cyber box and Ipanema were 3 for £20 this year but could be wrong
