The Great Cheap, Safe Fireworks Hunt

It seems like LIDL are fully aware of the Aquila problems, saw the UKFR guys testing....... I mean running away from those low lift and ground based bursts!I'm confused too, which is "the" fireworks forum? Several years back I would have said ukfr but there's so many now. FUD is an acronym for Fear, Uncertainty and Doubt, is someone propagating FUD?
Who knows. I still count UKFR as the main one, it's still the most active and the one been around for many years.
Loving the look of the new Royal Party 70 Shot Diamonds, it really does looks like something else and for me eclipses every other big bore cake out there!
Love the way Galactic fired 3 of them in an angled formation :T Have a few of these on order to into my Govenor based Finale0 -
couple years back i had a sapphire spray which almost exploded.
ive got another aquila ,not sure what to do tbh.
last year a couple of kimbolton cakes missfired, and a brothers cake ,ultimate battle of colours ,also, but not as bad as my aquila0 -
jst got voodoo and aquia; voodoo is cat 2 8 metres by the way.
still got an old firefighter so doubt getting another unless i get a exchange for my aquila.0 -

I have Voodoo, Firefighter and Aquila, all of which are CE Cat 2 8m fireworks. This led me to believe they have been watered down, or is it just that CE certification takes more to be a cat 3 rather than Cat 2?
Last year, fire fighter was BS rather than CE marked, and had Cat 3 25m on it.0 -
dont think been watered down.there are some very good cat 2 cakes out there. i think there is something on kimboltons website re eu rules. i think it makes sense having a 8 metre rule but not sure how it will work going forward ,,bs ce ,,all that.0

hi,
off to get my fireworks from JTF tomorrow
any advice on what selection box is the best value, best to buy the big one of maybe 2 smaller ones?
also out of the barrage selection boxes what is the best one?
anyone had any of them?
thank you0 -
JTF Cascades is pretty good value for money, it's a rebadged Esco Rio Grande selection box, 3 small 19 shot cakes, some decent fountains, one 6 tube combo fountain, wheel, rockets etc, just an absence of mines. It's up £3 this year to £19.99 plus vat but still decent value for money, just add a mine pack or two.
Esco Rio Grande here, £69.99 RRP
