Thanks. :) Most of mine are from Epic fireworks. Let us know how the Rainbow Storm performs wont you.

I can't wait to do the Lidl cakes lol. Well it was raining this morning here but it seems to be brightening up now, hopefully it will be clear tonight as it says it will be. :)

I hope everyone has a safe and very enjoyable Bonfire Night!

We had our fireworks on Saturday night. We had a mix of Lidl's Benstar fireworks and Standard Fireworks from Tesco.

I think it's fair to say that the fireworks from Lidl were better than the ones from Tesco. The cakes from Lidl (Rainbow Storm & Cosmos) were very, very good. The Tesco cake (I think it was called night to day). was ok, but maybe a little dissappointing as it looked quite big.

We had a Purple Moon Selection from Lidl that was decent, the fireworks were small ground ones with a couple of candles. They were only £5 so were good for the money.

The Tesco selection boxes were ok. We had the 2 for £20 one. The fireworks were similar to the Lidl selection box but there were a couple of very small rockets and a wheel included. The small rockets were rubbish in all honesty!

For rockets we got the 2 for £20 ones from Tesco, these were quite good. We also had the Gold rockets from Lidl (the £5 ones) which were very good and were double explosion.

On a safety note, when lighting rockets always make sure the firework is free in the tube. One of our rockets was put in the tube too hard and got stuck in the mud. It failed to take flight and exploded on the ground. Though nobody was hurt it's fair to say it scared us all!

I think we'll be sticking to Lidl fireworks next year (presuming they're still Benstar) as they were by far the best value for money.

Anyone tried any of the Aldi fireworks?

Cyberbox - £4.99 - I take it that its not great if its only that price
Lord of the night - £19.99 - Set of 5 cakes - looks promising?
Firepack - £9.99 - Doesn't look too bad for the price

Anyone let me know what they are like?

personally, i would neither buy them or recommend them.
my neighbour and uncle both had big problems with these 2 years ago, and so did many other people. i think i wrote about this earlier in one of my posts . .
anyway, if you were to get some, id say get the cheapest to see what you think.
i have read reviews that say none of aldi's are good - they are lame, and as they were 2yrs ago, dangerous.
i think its best if someone who has used them this year posts a review of them?
    regards.

and also, dont forget to take the plastic fuse covers off if the rockets have them!
