JTF have some great selection boxes in again,
http://www.jtf-wholesale.co.uk/fireworks
We have had this brand for 3 years now and they are excellent value for money, and good quality too! The website doesnt show the selection boxes very clearly, but at something like £5 for a big box you cant go wrong.
Looks good:

Shame about not having any branches outside North of England0 -

I have bought some from tescos and thought distance was 25 feet and not 25 metres!!?? Any advice? I bought the £40 BOGOF Deal?0 -

I wouldnt worry too much about this. Many fireworks (especially from supermarkets) have the 25m label on them, however they do not need it.
It does depend on what fireworks are in the box. Obviously fountains dont need too strict distance, but cakes do.
There is a lot of debait whether there should be a middle distance eg 10m, because of the huge gap between garden and display fireworks.
I always get display fireworks, but my garden is not 25m at all.
As long as you use them safely, and you have a decent amount of space, they should be ok.
Selection boxes tend to be quite lame anyway.

Very bad, and dangerous advice.
If it says 25m, you need to be AT LEAST 25m away.
If it throws out material over 5m, then it will be marked 25m, if it doesn't, it will be marked 5m. There are plenty of 25m fountains on sale. There is a lot of debait whether there should be a middle distance eg 10m, because of the huge gap between garden and display fireworks.

Then again, maybe not.0 -
If you do not observe the saftey distances and cause damage to someone elses property then you are liable. If you do observe the saftey distances and cause damage then the firework manufacture / importer is liable.
I would agree that not all fireworks marked as 25m need the full distance but unless you know this for a fact you are playing a dangerous game.
Any of the mammoth cones (Kimbolton / Standard etc), although just being a fountain will spray well over 5m. If this falls over you need to consider the consequences as it could cause large scale damage.
I would be very surprised if the majority of people who by cat3 fireworks actually observe the correct saftey distances. At the end of the day it is your call as to whether you use them or not in distances below the recommendation.

Everything i have got is 25m safety distance.
Our garden is 15m tops so we are letting them of as far to the top as possible, using plant pots for most of them.
Last year we had a mixture of 5m and 25m and we did them all at the top, and everything was fine. But yes safety first and try to follow the fireworks code as much as possible!
I can't wait for tommorw night now, i hope the weather will be ok it says light showers.0 -
Anyone tried any of the Aldi fireworks?
Cyberbox - £4.99 - I take it that its not great if its only that price
Lord of the night - £19.99 - Set of 5 cakes - looks promising?
Firepack - £9.99 - Doesn't look too bad for the price
Anyone let me know what they are like?0
