Where did you buy the loud French bangers? I'm after fireworks, the louder, the better. Would you recommend anything which makes a serious sound?
google "the puple magus" had some stuff from him in the past, 100mm shells which ive found nothing like in the uk, not too sure they'll be here by gfn though. hope that helps?0 -
Just did a couple of the Moon Boom mines which I got from Epic. I must say they are AMAZING, very loud bangs and the bursts give a good spread, Excellent value for just over £2/pack.
Good thing I have 2 packs left for GFN!0 -
never heard one before, but i have heard good things about the 25 shot Thunder King by Paramount. costs about £7.50 each. 25 loud bangs. review says they are close to 120db.
i have bought 2 from Galactic Fireworks
also, atom bombs (bright star) or widow makers (guy fawkes) they are twin shot air bombs. bloody loud!!!! about £6-£8 a pack. also, bright star 16 shot proton bomb cake. about £10. loud though. very impressed last year
i bought the small red french bangers a couple of years ago in Paris. got the last of them this year so may take a trip over next summer. bring another 3 or 4 carrier bags back.
they worked out about 40p a pack for the big ones!!!!0 -
i have a couple of the 25 shot thunder kings and 2 packs of old spec atom bombs i also have thunder king shot tubes hope they are loud to could have a loud night here lol and i bought a small pack of bulldog mines £4 for 40

Thanks for the info. I looked at epic but I'm not willing to pay the £50 delivery. I live in Glasgow so I'll probably have a look around the shops. Does anyone recommend anything from Asda/morrisons/ lidl/ tesco/ aldi? Something loud. Good loud rockets or something? And reasonably priced.
Thanks for your help:T0 -

hey tricky, I had purple rain and hayleys comet last year. they are both old stock and fantastic! unfortunately not all of my purple rain fired (about 9 out of 16 if I remember), but what did fire was really loud and nicely coloured
is hayleys comet the fan shaped one? I rememeber that being awesome and filling the sky, a good finale piece I think... someone will correct me if im wrong tho!
sounds like you got a bargain too! jealous!0 -
my hayleys comets look like big bore shot tubes like the size of atom bomb but a single tube rather that a double but you have made me wish i had picked up to purple rain lol0

I am useless at picking decen fireworks. I was just wondering if the Jaguar party pack from ASDA would be a good buy at 50 quid??? Could anyone let me know, and if they are garbage where to go to get a decent selection? I am based in Leeds. Cheers!0

personally i wouldnt go for this years ASDA selection.
do you have access to lidl? Cyberbox is a good buy.
i presume from the £50 that you are looking for a largish box though.
if i were you, id go to JTF leeds and get yourself a selection box or 2 there. they are crazy big for the price.0 -
Hi all,
I am looking for some good single fuse deals. I have a lot of younger (9years and under), so need something visually great but not worried about loudness. Are the BOGOFF supermarket ones any good? I noticed Waitrose have an 80 shot single fuse for £50 BOGOF??
Any help as always is very much appreciated.
thanks0
