Just thaught it may be worth mentioning,

Southport Musical Firework Championships are on at the end of this month

    Friday 30th September
    Saturday 1st October
    Sunday 2nd October

Tickets are between the £5/£8 mark depending whether you book online/ which night you visit.

    www.visitsouthport.com/

You can always stand along the edge for free though and still get an OK view.

Thought it may be worth mentioning in here as the shows are always of a brilliant quality every year!

    Anyway back onto consumer fireworks,

Im looking forward to seeing the promotional leaflets etc in the supermarkets, although I wont buy from them (with exception of Lidl) I just love collecting the leaflets to see what they have every year.

From what I can remember fireworks can officially go on sale from 15th October in seasonal shops/supermarket so that makes it around 1 month til they go on sale! :D

So has it been proven that they were 1.3g or is it just talk?

I don't think any "body" so to speak has officially said so, although I did hear that some had been tested after the season, but who knows. it is blatantly obvious when you watch a video of one. You can clearly see the flash burst which is not present in smaller 1.4g cakes.

No 1.4g cake is allowed any more that 5% flash powder.

A little cake like this would probably have about 200g - 250g of total powder so thats say 10g of flash or less over 25 tubes. Thats .4g of flash per tube, which if it could even be measured, you wouldn't see in a video!
