To pass the time while we wait for the excitement to mount and the anticipation of what gems Lidl will unleash upon us this year hehe how about a list of last years fave's, ones to look out for this year.

Top of my list would be :

    1) Kimbolton Glittering Gemstones, DEAFENING crackle on the last pair of tubes, at 5M it's almost enough to make your nose bleed :D

    2) Small cone in the Weco plastic bag selection. Think there were two. Astounding performance for a tiddler, short lived but almighty height. 10/10. What was it called?

The volcano was called Gigant Silver Volcano in a box of 2;small for 25metres but it certainly achieves a good height for such a small fountain.

I remember those cones your on about :D, I dont think they were the ones that came with the larger selection pack too where they (blue wrapper)? Im sure they were a different cone shaped fountain that only came with the small packs.

I hope your local garden centre has loads of Kimbolton stuff again this year :)

I think we all know on here that 25 carat and Inpanema are two fireworks to look out for at Lidl if they stock them again. Fire Fighter cake was also amazing!!

Im hoping for a barrarge pack this year from Lidl, I know when Aldi stocked Weco a few years ago they used to offer a barrage pack for around £15 and it looked really good! :)

Fire pack from Weco is another great selection.

Hey Dan what's up :D Your Birthday's on the way I seem to remember

Yes there were a couple of cones, blue/white or blue/silver in a box, it wasn't those, they were good but the smaller ones were little dynamo's  That Weco firework bag was an absolute bargain.

It's not Kimbolton this year at the garden centre.. :( Fortunately I have a fair few left as I remember, boxed them up last year after GFN, they're at my Bro's, not for long though ;)

Yep its about 1 month away :)

Oh yeah I remember them now!

I have an Inpanema and a 25 carat here that I bought at New Year but never got round to firing so I have those anyway incase Lidl dont have them again this year.

Shame about the garden centre not stocking Kimbolton :(, any idea which brand there using yet?
  • Hey Its good to see some people from last year. Yeah i think them little fountains came in a 4 pack in the firepack :L i don't know. Anyway i think someone messaged lidl and they replied back saying they will be using the lidl brand again as it was their best year with fireworks. if they don't stock them i know which house im going if i want to watch them brilliant cakes in the flesh

Garden Centre are doing Total FX fireworks this year, can't find out much about them, I'm not convinced they'll compete with the Kimbolton stuff.

Was the Firepack the bag or the box Adam? Think these little 'uns came in the bag, can't remember the names of the individual packs.

Wholesale place here is offering day passes for any Brummies in the house :D

It was me who emailed them and posted the reply earlier in the year :) The email did say though that it could change. Its very unlikely though, suppose they have to say that incase Weco wernt able to provide the pyro or something :)

The Firepack was the box priced at £12.99, Cyber Box is the bag priced at £6.99, strange should really be the other way round lol!
    :)

If Lidl do stock any of the same products this year such as the cyber box or firepack it will be interesting to see the pricing and if the price is increased (or probably how much) :(

Also just had a look at Total FX, some pieces actually look really good! Rockets seem very good from videos and so do the cakes.

    http://www.totalfxfireworks.co.uk/videos.php

Suppose it depends how much each piece is though, but if there cheap enough Id get a piece or two to 'test' ;)

Good find, I'd only half heartedly tried as they weren't Kimbolton (excuse :D ) Look pretty impressive, cakes are a bit pricey in the brochure but that's RRP, not garden centre prices ;)

Cyberbox, that was it, fingers crossed we get those again this year, I might be quite greedy :rotfl:
  • Epic again for us this year, had some of the JTF ones last year but wont bother again with those as they were not that good and no different that supermarket ones. Epic has great prices, great service and a huge choice. Well worth the journey and hopefully can remember what we had last year :j
