We had a wicked time last night, although rain started half way through so a temporary stoppage of 10 mins.
Highlights:
All the Lidl cakes were awesome especially the fire fighter i can't say enough how i was impressed with these. Firepack was good as well.
Asda Kegs were awesome for the money and the kids loved the pumpkin thanks to the glowing eyes.
One of the nicest fireworks of the night was Sparking Treasure by TNT from ASDA. Really nice colours and lasted a while, loved by all.
Cocktail of rockets personally i thought these were a let down, majority of them were rubbish with a couple that had a reasonably loud bang.
Colour explosion not bad for £10 BOGOF
Our finale was Brute Force (Argos) £24 + Fire fighter £9.99 awesome the two together with the Brute force delivering the end with a big band and shower of sparkles
I would like to a big thank you to everyone that has contributed to this thread as it helped me immensely in deciding what to buy although i did end up spending more than i would usually.Compatible ink cartridges from 87p each here0 -

Brilliant review thanks for posting! Glad you had a good night, I agree completely about the powder kegs and lidl stuff! The fire-fighter cake was just brilliant and looked like a cake that costed mush much more!0 -
Hello All,
I am in need of some fireworks before this weekend and I was wondering if anyone has used the Diamond fireworks? There is a place near me which will be selling until the 10th but I am not sure whether they are any good?
If anyone can offer some advice, I will be grateful.
Thanks0 -
ALDI Terminal Velocity rockets are just fantastic value for money. If a supermarket is all you can get to buy these everytime for a !!!! and henner.....:j:j:j:j:j0

I second that - this is the first year I've used the Terminal Velocity pack (thanks to all those that recommended it!) and I was very impressed. For small 1.4G rockets these are really rather good, and at £9.99 for 16 you can't go wrong. I do hope they'll be around next year as well :-)0

Just to let you know you wont be able to buy any fireworks from supermarkets/ seasonal sellers now as they are unable to sell fireworks after 10th November (unless they are selling for new year which I believe starts on 27th December).
So, if your still in need of fireworks your best bet (and probably only bet) would be to try and get to a all year retailer who will sort you out with some nice stuff!
Sorry for the late reply0 -
Can anyone advise whether the 10th November rule also applies to sparklers? Looking for those giant ones that Tesco were selling for £1. Or any really.. just not the mini birthday cake sized ones.
Trying to find some for a party tonight0
