SO I could just have one eye done? (and then change my glasses prescription to have plain glass in one eye?!?)
You can't actually get plain glass, I did try once after having had one eye done. I couldn't recommend Optimax more highly, had mine done their twice - they did it the second time for free (not really their fault either). Mum had hers done there, best mate had hers done there, ex had his done there etc.
When I needed to get mine re-done they did it for free and moved heaven and earth to let me get it done in good time for my wedding.
I would think this is a genuine prize, they are well known for trying to get their slack spots filled as its better to be full of cheapies than have staff sitting around doing nothing, he was selling treatment on ebay a while back but I don't know if he still is.The best things in life are NOT free - but they sure are cheaper with MSE!:j0 -

When I had my first one done, Optimax arranged to have the lens replaced with plain glass for me. I just left my glasses there the day I had it done and they sorted it out. Maybe it depends what sort of treatment you have? When I had my loft converted back into a loft, the neighbours came around and scoffed, and called me retro.0 -
I tried to get it done at a couple of opticians and they said no go but I got a very mild prescription put in and that was OK.The best things in life are NOT free - but they sure are cheaper with MSE!:j0

You could have one eye done and then ask on here for someone who has also had the email to let you have it and get the other one done.
One in the eye for Optimax!!!

I have just had a winning email from optimax.
I am thinking if having the 1 eye done. Then wearing 1 lens until the next time I win.
Or at least seeing how the first one goes.
I wonder if they are happy to procede with 1 eye.To win a competition gives you the spirit to carry on (Comping).0 -
I wouldnt bother with this prize if I won it, sounds scammish to me, there will probably be some sort of catch like them not only wanting to do one eyeWeight Loss - 102lb0

Optimax are a good company, they don't set out to rip people off. They offer laser treatment a good prices and can do this because more people use them because they are cheaper. You can have one eye done if you want to and there are plus points and minus points for doing this. Plus points are that you will get it free and if something does go wrong then you still have one okay eye. Minus points are that you will struggle if you need glasses for the other eye as your head will have to adjust to the fact that one eye can see a lot better than the other.
Pay the extra and get them both done.
Always make sure you are fully clued up about the procedure though. It doesn't always work as well as you think for everyone(myself included).
Have a look at www.lasik-eyes.co.uk . Go to forums and have a look at the posts.
