Buying HTC Desire HD from Dialaphone (via Quidco)
Hi everyone,
I did a search on these forums to find out if there were more information on Dialaphone but there appears to be little so here I am with a thread about my experience purchasing a phone from them.
The important points are:
1) There's cashback on the mobile contract from Dialaphone (a notorious scheme)
2) The Dialaphone overall experience
3) Did the cashback come back?
I'm on their website now to buy an HTC Desire HD. So far the website has been easy to use but information regarding their cashback is vague and incorrect (not a good start).
I'm also going to call them to clarify the information on their cashback offer.
She spoke to a manager but no-one has the correct details currently although I'm assured that it'll be in the paperwork that comes with the phone.
So I'm going to finish up my order and wait till Monday for the phone to be delivered. I'll then put an update on here and full details of how the cashback operates.
Other Info
The offer is the HTC Desire HD on Orange for £25 24mnt contract.
With cashback this will be an effective monthly price of £22.92
Comes with:
Unlimited Text Messages (3000 a month)
Unlimited (push?) UK Email
Plus 500MB Mobile Internet
Update
There are two items most people will want to cancel after buying their phone:
1) FREE Insurance for 1 month - thereafter £6.99 per month per handset, cancellable at any time
2) FREE Gadget Helpline Support for 1 month - thereafter £17.94 every six months, cancellable at any time.

I've just called them on 0800 183 7902 and after the computer generated voice (very realistic btw) I was transferred to Becky. She told me there's an error on the website and it should be £50 in two stages."For 2 months of your contract line rental is FREE! (Thereafter £25.00 per month). That's a saving of £50.00!
Your £50.00 saving is available by redemption in 1 stage: £10.00 at month 6"

Today I've had another email confirming that my order has been successfully processed.
I should mention that I could have had the phone delivered on Friday (5th day from ordering) but I couldn't arrange for delivery to be taken so I chose Monday instead. Normally I guess you could have your phone within the week.0 -
This is nothing to do with your question but the post title mentions Quidco.
If you gave your name when contacting them you'll probably lose Quidco cashback.
As foe Dialaphone i've used them several times and never had a problem.0 -
It won't affect the Quidco cashback.0

Hi Stu,
I wasn't asking a question really - just putting this up so that others can have a better understanding of how things work at Dialaphone.
Have you ever gone for their cashback offers? I'm assuming you have and it's good to hear some positive news about them.0 -

I can't think of a reason why it would affect the cashback either as Quidco are a third party.0 -
Dialaphone is now part of Phones4u - and their track record with cashback is second to none.0

That's very promising.
Have you used them before?0 -
Phones4u and Mobiles2yourdoor - extensively, but not for quite a while because they haven't had any great deals for more than a year. With cashback contracts things change - so although I couldn't recommend them highly enough and wouldn't hesitate to use them again no-one should enter into any cashback contract without following all the groundrules. As for Dialaphone no - the deals have never been good enough!0

Just curious, as I've already made my purchase, but where would you buy an HTC Desire HD from?
With all cashback, I'm looking at around £20/month for 24 months.0 -
