  • i too got the extra light ash blonde and it was nothing like the colour it was supposed to be, it was a mousy blonde. luckily i didnt pay for mine but did have to buy another dye to put it right, also think the price is very high for a hair dye

Well have just dyed my hair which I usually get high lighted with foils! The only problem is my roots have gone a strawberry blonde as they were obviously darker than the rest of my hair. Coverage is excellent theough and I am wondering that if I used it agin would the strawberry blonde lighten again! I have some left and am wondering whether to apply it to my roots later? Any ideas?

If you dye your hair ash blondes or light blondes you need to use toner to keep it looking fresh and vibrant, toner removes the yellow and brassy tones. It is very difficult to maintain an ash blonde look and with any shop bought ash/light blonde hair colour, you will always need to add toner to remove the brassy/yellow colours. The other thing is that you could reapply to your roots to lighten them again and then use toner but you wont have the highlighted effect where the roots are. It's a good fix between hairdresser visits though.

I bought the ash blonde too, and my hair was yellow-ish and brassy/strawberry blonde at the roots after using this even though my highlights where a lighter blonde than the product but I used 'la riche directions' white toner afterwards which has made all the difference my hair is a creamy blonde and my roots near enough match. Also if you want to keep your colour longer its worth investing in a shampoo/conditioner which has a purple base like 'a touch of silver' which keeps your hair creamy blonde longer.

i dye my hair quite often and found this product so much easier to use and the coverage was good. The only down side is the colour, i went for dark chocolate brown and it came out extremely dark, good job its not halloween! maybe i left it on too long, but i will just go a shade lighter next time.

This happened to me too, strangely, only at the very base of the roots which were about an inch in length. The rest has covered very well, including best part of my roots and does look a nice colour although darker than I expected. I got extra light beige blonde and also used it on highlighted hair. My hair is quite a dark blonde if left to it's own designs.

One thing that worried me when I was using it was that the foam didn't last long once it was on my hair. I used the whole bottle and I have shoulder length hair. By the time I'd finished it looked nothing like the woman in the picture's as there was no foam at all. However, hairdressers aways comment on how fine in texture and thick in volume my hair is so maybe I should have used 2 bottles because of that.

Ordered mine and used Quidco, but just checked on the quidco account and it shows as declined, anyone know why?

Didn't see this first time around so thanks to the OP and to the posters today who bumped it back up :).

Have just ordered the dark chocolate brown (I read the review, thanks for that link) and got the brown travel bag all for £5.99. Looking forward to covering these pesky grey hairs that have been cropping up recently.

I got mine. You had to order the travel bag as well as the dye. You did do that didn't you? If you did and haven't received it you want to get on the phone to them. In fact I'm sure I read of someone who forgot to order the set and phones them and they sent one out separately for her.
