Pooh, my great-uncle's records must have been blown up too. I can only see his medal index and it is pretty illegible at that! Shame as I'd love to know more about him. I have a photo of him as a schoolboy and he looks like Just William! At least I know he went out to Egypt to fight. His death is recorded on the memorial in Highgate Cemetery but I'm sure I remember family lore saying he came back home and died of his injuries. Looks like I shall never find out the truth0
