British Gas Enquiry No:0800 0281028.or 0113 3381022, this number appears to be in place of a lot of 0845 numbers.

0131 4547372, (code might be 0113 ?) payments, can transfer to other dept's,e.g. Domestic Billing

0131 3446000, Switchboard- can transfer to any 0845 on back of utility bills.

Numbers obtained from the "saynoto0870"site, there are loads there, just search for british gas.

Surely if BG were really comitted to Customer Service they would use 0800 numbers. This would please their (remaining) customers, and would ensure that their staff answered the phone quickly and dealt with the problem then and there, thereby keeping their (BG's) phone bill down.
