    just scared myself stupid. managed to set myself on fire. was trying to light the gas hob to cook pasta and it caught but my dressing gown sleeve caught as well so singed all the way up my arm, over the back and down the other arm and also part of my hair! thank god for fire retardent dressing gowns! everything is fine im just a bit shook up but it was stupid of me to cook when im not completly with it.
    :eek::eek::eek::eek: OMG!!!
    Just seen your subsequent post; glad you're OK. I'll bet you're shaken! (((HUG))) This is something I worry about constantly; I have very long hair and also wear a lot of clothes with dangly bits on the sleeves. I got some elasticated sleeve protectors from Lakeland, and I always use the back burners for preference, to keep my hair safe. Gosh, and it was only the other day Piggers was telling us all to get fire extinguishers/blankets!

    I'm having a wee break from battling the loo limescale. Actually, it's not all that bad now; I got the really bad deposit shifted a while back, and am keeping on top of it (our water is scarily hard).

    Attempting Thursday and Friday lists today as I'll be AWOL tomorrow - Mr LW's got the day off, so we're going to do some errands - get his B&Q Diamond Card organised, spend the £5 Bodyshop voucher from Saturday's Telegraph, do some grocery shopping type of thing, and maybe get ahead with some of the week's tasks that I've said would have to wait til he's available to help.;) Then we're off to the opera in the evening - so I'd better not use all my spoons beforehand!:D

    Flylady Posi-vibes to Mrs Chaos' friend as requested. Hope all goes well for her.
    If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

    Seafarers so glad you are ok

    Socks - have you got stomach protector medicine to go with your pain killers? This could be very important and you may want to contact your GP

    Done one lot of financial stuff so going to have a cuppa before the next lot and I need to send some photos and measurements to a joinery company too and as it is not raining right now could be a good time.

    Realbutter welcome out of whichever dusty corner you have been lurking in, happy you want to join in
