A good T-Mobile deal

Hi all

Just a heads up for those interested. T-Mobile have just got the Motorola Defy in (a £320 Android phone) and it's free on a £20pm 24 month deal. As it's an Android device, it automatically comes with 3GB of data usage per month rather than the usual 1GB you get with other devices or sim only. For that £20 you get 300 mins, 300 texts, 3GB internet and a flexible booster (which I assume most will use to get unlimited texts).

Quidco are currently offering £80 cashback for this deal, and if you flog the phone for about £300-£320, that means the full 24 months would only have cost you about £80 in total. It seems like a good way to get the 3GB of data usage at a sensible monthly cost.

Michael.

  • it is also available for £115 up front for the handset plus £10 per month for 100 minutes, 100 texts and "unlimited" internet. On top of that you can get one of their flexible booster thingys and get unlimited texts. £20 is available from Quidco.

So total cost of contract would be £335.

  • I just ordered a Defy on t-mobile.

100 minutes, 100 texts, unlimited internet (3G FUP) plus unlimited text flex booster all for £10 per month (£115 up front for handset) and there is £80 cashback available via topcashback (better than Quidco £20)

    Here's hoping it tracks!

This is a great deal, but i cant seem to find it through the topcashback site, can you help by posting links?

    Thanks

Edit: Ok i found it, so it is safe to assume that if i go through the link on topcashback to the deal for phone, i should be getting the phone plus contract for £275?
  • That's what my maths works it out at, yes.
If I've helped you please show your appreciation by using the "Thanks" button

    Boo!

The T&Cs don't look to be any different to me!

Pay monthly plans which include internet on your phone on an Android phone You'll get internet on your phone Plus included if you join us on a pay monthly plan with an Android phone in a T-Mobile store, over the phone or via our website, t-mobile.co.uk. You'll need internet coverage, check it at t-mobile.co.uk/streetcheck. Remember that you can only use your internet on your phone Plus Booster in the UK and you can't use your phone as a modem or use Internet on your phone Plus for peer to peer file sharing, or making internet phone calls. *Internet on your phone Plus comes with a fair use policy of 3GB a month. We'll monitor how much you send and receive each calendar month so that we can protect our network for all our internet on your customers. If you use more than your fair use policy amount, we won't charge you any more, but we may restrict how you can use your plan, depending on how often you go over your amount and by how much. As your phone is always connected to the internet, if you remove your internet on your phone Plus Booster from your account you'll automatically be charged up to £1 every day. That £1 a day rate has its own fair use policy and other legal stuff, which you can see here: t-mobile.co.uk/services/uk/fairuse/#fup5.

interestingly that say explicitly that you can't tether but i was told by the guys on twitter that if you have WnW plus you can tether!

Gah, damn you guys - i was looking at the wrong page and tried to delete the post when i found the right point.

I rang them up to check the 3GB allowance, and got told they would match the cashback so that the phone came to £35 without worrying about the risk of it not tracking...

Ordered and been told its in the post for tomorrow.
  • Hi,

Whats peoples opinions of the Motorola. Cannot make my mind up between this, the HTC Wildfire and also the LG Optimus 1?

    Regards
