It's only supposed to be free if you sign up to an 18 month contract direct through them but i'm an independant and have been giving it away since it started, i have it - free at home and i most definatley didn't get my mobile from them
You obviously don't know the terms and conditions of the offer. As of the 26th October it changed to a 12 months contract and customers can take out free broadband no matter where they got the mobile from (they just have to restart the contract from the day they apply).0 -
The website still says 18 month contract.0

You agree to be subject to a 12-month minimum term contract if you are:
• an existing customer in month 0-9 of your 12-month contract
• an existing customer in the last three months of their minimum term contract not requiring a handset upgrade e.g. in month 10 or more of a 12-month contract, month 16 or more of an 18-month contract or month 22 or more of a 24-month contract
i.e take out a phone and then call for free bb the next day. Ok so this is effectively then going to restart your contract from that date but who's going to quibble about a day?0 -

Says broadband free only with 18 months contracts on their site.0 -
There are other people on rpoints who have done this with a 12 month contract.
Basically I think 99% of customer services will say oooh no has to be 18 months and has to be direct through orange because they have been versed so say this as it makes orange loads more ££££££££££. However as soon as you speak to the actual staff on the special deal phone no. its all plain sailing and they have no problem with just a 12 month contract at all.0 -
Just received my new phone this morning, 18 mth, not direct from Orange
How do I go about getting the free broadband setup?
Plus can I get the free package now and then change to the £5 month later? or vice versa?0 -

Phone 550 from your mobile and choose option 2.
Yes you can switch as long as the package is still available0 -

We use something called soft capping. If you continually go over the 2gb usage you get 3 warnings then are transferred to the higher package or disconnected if you still go over after this. I know because I've seen it.0 -
