:rotfl: :rotfl: Did it taste nice?

Well it was a wee bit crunchy but I did manage to eat most. If only I had read the packaging beforehand. Felt a right divvy. Never did me any harm except that during the mating season I still lock horns with the odd young buck......

Ebay~ A wretched hive of scum and villainy. :p
  • I received a hideous M&S tie from an uncle & aunt one Xmas and decide to exchange it.

On reaching the front of the 20-min post-Xmas M&S queue I was told by a rather embarrased sales lady that the tie had no recognisable stock code on the label & was therefore so old that it was un-refundable or exchangeable.

It was a long walk to the store doors....
  • Well, my fab 5 year old daughter got given a paper shredder...ouch! by her grandma. Yes, it was the only present from her!

    God bless hey!

    excellent thread

I obviously need some lessons from the poster who got 'persuaded' her OH to make up for the library book by buying an eternity ring:rotfl:

My nan remembered one Christmas that I liked Polly Pocket things, and bought me a huge (and expensive) castle that lit up and did all sorts of things. Unfortunately, she hadn't realised that I'd asked for them about 4 years earlier, and was less into girlie toys aged 13 or so!

My ex boyfriend was very pleased with himself on my birthday, having given me a small box. I opened it, excited, and found a lovely necklace. Unfortunately, during all the time we'd been together, he hadn't noticed that I only wear silver, and am not very religious, so the gold crucifix wasn't appreciated very much!
  • my step dad is not exactly what you would call romantic. last year he bought my mum a box of maltesers for xmas.

worse, though, was about 5 years ago - he bought her wheel trims for her car. i don't remember how long the silence lasted but atleast we all have a good giggle now waiting to hear what he got her this time.
  • Not one given to me but my husband was from a very elderly spinster aunt. A pair of woolly socks(which she had obviously had for donkey's years) because the first time he wore them & we went to a wedding of all things. He came out of the church & pulled them up,the leg part on both socks separated from the foot part & he ended up having to stand for the rest of the afternoon & evening so that his trousers kept his bare ankles &legs out of sight. I had carried a spare pair of tights for myself, in case of any ladders, but there was no way a size large man was going to fit into a size 8 pair of tights. Even if you overlooked the problem of going to the loo.
Quite a few laughs were had by close family members but there was no way my husband would submit to a photo being taken of the event.
Since then all socks of his have been subjected to the most rigorous "Quality Control" checks of being stretched numerous times before being worn which still causes both of us to have fits of laughter.

My dad will never live down the year he bought my mum tweed seat covers for her car. The year before he bought her the beaded things that go over the seats (like back supports) :rotfl:
