Meanmarie - I am so sorry to hear about your friend. Thinking and you and her poor family xxx Hope the funeral is a good send off on Monday x
Swept leaves, finished yet more Xmas craft and we've decided to adopt a cat  DS wants to spend all his time round at my mums since she's adopted this lost kitten and it's getting to the point when we have melt down when we have to leave after visiting. Sooooo we've decided to get a cat of our own. A dog is out of the question but a cat is most definately "do-able", not had one since our old kitty had to be put down 6 years ago. So cue me with itchy eyes and sneezing as I am allergic (but allergy settles down better with one, with two cats it's awful!). So having a home visit from a lady from Cats Protection on monday and have our eye on a wee kitten called Feather Bow (not that her name will remain that
)
OK have waffled enough. Need to sort kids tea and prepare for the firework bonanza
Actually I am looking forward to hot dogs and soup - just need a beer or cider to go with it, oh well I guess horlicks will have to do :rotfl: I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knife

Our kitten spent the week learning how to climb to the top of all the doors in the house and shout for help. If we ignore her, she comes down on her own....
Putting on my Feline Behaviourist hat here ... Cat may be saying 'Look at me!' and showing off rather than making a plea for assistance. If you enjoy her antics that's great but if not, just ignore her and she'll (eventually) stop

Marie I am so sorry to hear about your friend, what a terrible tragedy, hugs and best wishes for you and her loved ones tonight xxxIt's what is inside your head that matters in life - not what's outside your window

((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))) marie......
Well what started as a good day has deteriorated, OH has gone back to bed, does not feel well, sick, dizzy and has belly ache.......so supper for one again tonight, I have just put his portion of veg in the fridge and his liver and bacon in a tupperware container for the freezer, will add some gravy when I dish mine out.
At this rate the Dr will be back on Monday, I just hope its not the infection starting up again, I do not think either of us will cope with another session.........Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -
Hopefully its just a wee blip, Csarina. Now, I know nothing about his illness, but is it possible his diet has been too rich or heavy after such a horrible time for his digestive system. I am not being critical in anyway, as I said I have no idea, but sometimes an off the wall suggestion can help!

Evening All
Marie, that's a terrible tragedy, my thoughts are with you.
Csarina, hope it's just a blip.
My visitor to the loft has been caught and dealt with so there should be no more footsteps in the middle of the night!
Went to Home Bargains this morning for a few bits and pieces, seemed to have a big bagful of stuff for £12, even got some washing detergent (surf I think) for £2.49 - it's a big bottle. Got a few things for DS2, I am buying something for him everytime I go shopping so that after christmas he should have some supplies as he is a poor student! Also called in at TK Maxx and got a nice belt as part of friend's sons 21st, a wallet to put away for one of the boys for christmas and a pair of Bench boxers for DD. At least I have made a start!
Had visitors this afternoon which was nice so just chilling now, will watch strictly and then read my book I think.
Take care XX0 -

I did ask the Dr about his diet, he has been eating much the same at home as he was getting in hospital.......I think myself he has wind and the feeling of nausea and dizzyness is his usual slight dizzy do, but still at the back of my mind is the fact that it can re-occur. I honestly do not know if I could cope with another spell like the last 2 weeks and I know he will not be bale to he is so frail......Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -
What about those build up things like Complan and so on, maybe even just once a day, but then if he is eating well would they make any difference. I don't really have anything else to offer except to say make sure you are looking after yourself first and foremost, its a lot to cope with on your own. Chucking you over another hug. PS Mardatha says she's got snow, so watch out, just in case it comes up your way. XXXIt's what is inside your head that matters in life - not what's outside your window

OMG I can do without snow!!!! thanks for the hugs, I would give him complan but he hates it, porridge has to do. He is drinking full cream milk, just now, he is not used to it, I think when this container is finished I will go back to our normal milk.......Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -
