    Dry but noticebly cooler today.

DH and DS are still working on the shed. They want to finish it this weekend - looks like they will the roof is on and just a bit more cladding to do on the front, windows to put in and then they have to make the double doors and ramp (for me to get in and out with my scooter)

I have done three loads of washing, baked 2 loaves of bread, 24 butterfly cakes, some twinks and 24 jam tarts and done all the washing up.

I am now having 10 minutes breather before going to check if any of the washing has dried.

Redruby... I am sorry to hear that your Dad is still poorly ((((((Hugs))))).
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

  • Afternoon all :)

Well, have so far managed to get up and go shopping with mum - dad's now quite uncertain when he's driving so it'a left up to me or my sister to take her, and as I live next door, it's always me! I don't mind, it's actually quite cosy at this time of year.

I'll probably go for a snooze in a bit as the dog woke me at 4am because someone had set a firework off in the distance. She's a nervous wreck this time of year, and spends a lot of time in the shower cubicle with the door closed and with the bathroom door closed!

Apart from that my wool has finally arrived 3 weeks after I ordered it  so I'll get cracking with the blanket I'm crocheting for my friend.

Dinner will be made by mum, and apart from that I've got nothing else on. I was invited to a fireworks do with one of my friends, her new boyfriend whom I've never met, and her parents. Although I haven't seen her for ages, that is my perfect idea of hell!

Hugs to those that need them and have a good day all.

    T xx
  • Dyeing the hideous coat again, this time the dye is called burlesque red and is a definite purple, hopefully it will be wearable this time :D

Hi Chums did the party run this morning and sat and read my book whilst all hell let loose with 14 7-year- olds at the bowling party .Took a drink with me so I haven't spent anything, even walked around the centre for 15 minutes in Chatham but wasn't tempted at all by anything. I must be getting old, or even more frugal than usual in my old age.Mikey enjoyed the party though, and I have just dropped him back home .I am now going to put my feet up and watch a bit of dross t.v.(probably catch a few zzzs at the same time) .Have a good afternoon everyone I am having a really lazy one for a change
    Cheers chums

go to the pub sit outside
and admire the hanging basket
    Is officially 48% tight :D
  • Well that's very naughty of you, but I am glad you're OK.xxx

The coat is possibly two shades darker than it was, but infinitely more wearable, shame, as the wet colour was fabulous! I also fired two t shirts into the dye when the coat was done, so a bit of a wardrobe revamp chez moi this afternoon.

    Winter's here!!!!!

    Afternoon everybody,hope all is well,

Back home from our footie ,early kick off which I forgot about, good thing our friend rang to remind me,but DH had gone to fix s.o. lock,so had to ring and tell him to be quick.

We're treating ourselves to a takeaway tonight, and will watch fireworks from the top of our drive, the Cricket club opposite always has a good display on their field. Our hound took the bangs in his stride last night, but it will be busier here tonight-he should be ok if we turn the telly up.My neighbours dog who I take out sometimes will be having a sedative again, poor thing.

We got another bottle of anti immflamatory meds from the vet yesterday £ 39-gulp,but he is so much improved-he's back to running around like a loon.Just hope it continues once he's finished the bottle.

Right ,off for a cuppa.I'm racking my brains for a bit of OS but really struggling,I did dye my hair this morning ,rather than let my hairdresser do it yesterday,so at least I'm moneysaving.I know,I shall look through my cake recipes and pick one to do tomorrow, that'll have to do :Dx

Afternoon all....not a good day for me....an old friend (early 80s) who had 40% burns to her body when her nightie went on fire when she was lighting her stove died early to-day...I could scream I feel so bad, she was a lovely woman who always made me very welcome in her house in the 40+ years I knew her. I feel so sorry for her 2 children and their children as she was a very loving mother and grandmother. I could take it easier if she had just died in her sleep. We are off to Kerry in the morning for the funeral on Monday.

Nothing else I can say to-day, the news has eclipsed everything else

    Hugs to those in need
