Morning all,
Bit grey looking here, I hope it brightens up, I have the first of 3 washes on the go, hope to get it on the line for a good airing.
Bargain bird, and everyone else thanks for asking, I went to see dad yesterday for 1/2 hour, my brother was there too, but dad was asleep the whole time, they had sedated him the night before, and it knocked him out the whole day, my sis went in later and he was awake, so she has asked the nurses to give him a lower dose, he is still VERY confused, can't believe the rapid decline, last week he was over the woods walking the dog, this week he has to be shown where the toilet/bed is
, will go and see him later on.
We did not go to any fireworks display, when I was a child a spark from a bonfire landed in my hair, and burnt a huge bald patch, so I am not keen, also little dog is terrified of the bangs, so we could not leave her alone.
Today will consist of washing, hoovering, cleaning through, I also want to go and look for some tiles for the downstairs loo window cill, we had bought some beautiful pink glass ones, but they wont cut , so I am thinking small mosaic tiles in pink. DD is off to town with her friend to do a photography project for school.
Dinner tonight is eggs, bacon sausage, beans and toast
, OH can cook it :T then settle down to watch X factor.
Have good days all xx0 -
Morning All
Not managed to post all week but have more or less kept up with the thread of things. Hugs and best wishes to all those feeling poorly or have friends and relatives not too well. Csarina, glad OH is getting better, you must be glad he is home.
The weather here has been awful all week with torrential rain most days. Thought today might be better but I think it is just wet and now cold too! Have just finished my ironing which has been waiting all week and last night cleaned the bathrooms and DS2s room as he has now taken all his stuff to uni.
Plans for today are to get my backside in gear (had a lazy week). Will be going for more hen food and then looking for a 21st birthday present for friends son along with anything I can pick up for christmas. I have some vouchers for M&S and could do with a new black bra, I now wear a 'school' uniform which is a black polo shirt. This means that my good bras are being used for work!
Hope you all have a good weekend, off for a shower now. Take care XX0 -
Morning all.....................((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))) if you need one.
Wonderully quiet night last night, if there were firewroks in the village we did not hear them.
OH retired to bed at 8.30. He has just had porridge and a crossaint, I got told off because he wanted more porridge, will have to put more in the pot tomorrow!! He will get up shortly for a shower, its a nice morning so he can put his coat and hat on and have a walk round the garden.
The washer is on, I washed his stuff last night and dried it in the residual heat from the stove overnight. Mine will go on the line for a bit and I dare say finish off on the airer.
It has been cold overnight the windows were all steamed up this morning, so open just a tad to clear it.
Nothing major planned for today, just going to chill......Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -

Hope you all have a good day, hugs all round where needed. BB I missed you saying about the lump, and if you didn't I hope you weren't worried all by yourself!

A bedroom gutting/cleaning day for me today, already started, just come down for a catch up and a cuppa and pancakes, yum!
I have a sour dough starter, fluffing away. Needs a few more days but I do plan to attempt a soda bread, with my HM yoghurt this afternoon
Sometimes, just sometimes I wonder what my life would have been like not stumbling upon this way of living. I feel so fulfilled sometimes, like I'm doing my job as a mum and wife properly.
A bit heavy for 9.30 but never mind. I'm haappy today

Off to pick up DS2 later from his girlfriends then off s=out shopping with DH. Ned to take some clothes back to Matalan - decided my legs really dont suit leggings:D - DH calls them my Ernie Wise's - short fat and hairy:rotfl::D although I am reasonably tall at 5ft7 and slim my legs are a bit on the short and dumpy side.Think I'll stick to jeans.
Going to Morrisons to get the groceries(using our 10% discount card)

Morning all
Bright and warmish here today. Washing on the line, I dont think it will dry completely but at least it will blow a little.
I couldn't sleep again this morning and both OH and I were up at 3.45. He went off to work at 5.45 and I set off and went to our local Asda (which is a 24 hour one) and did my shopping at 6.00 - not many people about I can tell you:D It was great getting round so quickly and all the shelves were really well stocked up!
Came back, put dw on, wm on, did floors and dusted and tidied round. Wrapped a few presents, made a quiche for later and now I am ready to sleep!:rotfl:
Off out to the caravan this afternoon, just overnight as we haven't been out for a few weeks what with one thing and another. The site is set in woodland and it will be lovely to take Charlie (the dog) for a long walk in this sunshine.
Hope you all have a good weekend.

Morning All
Csarina - glad OH is home and on the mend
JackieG hope you're feeling a bit brighter
I only have one little MS job today
and its just in my local supermarket and can be done up until 9pm so I am in no rush today. Waiting on shopping being delivered by Mr A - paid extra to get the 9-11am slot and was hoping for earlier rather than later as I want to do some baking but I'm waiting on eggs and butter
DH is working 11pm-6pm then 10pm-3am and I have the kids. Blue skies here but very cold! Got both slow cookers out waiting ready to get some batch cooking some for the week ahead.
I actually started my xmas shopping last night and will do some lists so I know what to buy next weekend (DH's payday) - i cant ignore it much longer! DD DSS and me are watching home alone 2 this afternoon so that should start the mood off! I do love christmas but I just cant seem to get any enthusiasm up for it at the minute!
WM is on its 2nd load and I have a list of To Do's as long as my arm so better get on with it...starting with shouting at Mr A

Slight change of plan for me. I'm taking the car now today, there isn't a convenient train time, I'd have to wait an hour in town for everyone else, which normally would be ok but I don't wanna spend money in shops :rotfl:. Also it's Wales v Australia rugby so the pubs will be rammed. I can shoot off after a long lunch and get lots of other things done too. Need to visit parents, go to tip and do a food shop. And I won't have a hangover now tomorrow so can get my uni work done then! Ah it's sad when you get old and prioritise uni/work/stuff over drinking! :rotfl: .

Got up earlier, loaded dishwasher and tidied kitchen a bit then went back up with a tray of tea in peace and quiet.
Warned DH that I wanted to go shopping later for new duvet and cover for new bed that was delivered the other day - it is huge and much higher than our old one as well so nothing fits. Got really good bargain of fitted sheets from Debenham's sale at 70% off and could do with as good a deal for other bedding but not holding my breath.
Can hear DDs downstairs so going to go down and see when DH wants to set off for shopping outlet.
Might let family make whatever they want today and treat ourselves to delivered pizza while watching X factor tonight. (Seems my home made one is "too thick" a base, tomato topping is "too sweet" etc) . Have been making lots of home made stuff this week but not really anything that was greatly successful so fed up.
Hugs to everyone and see you later."This site is addictive!"
