Meat - never buy it cheap unless I'm using it in a stew or something - or it's reduced, then it goes in the freezer
Tuna - can't stand the flakes, much prefer decent chunks of it
Dilute - the economy stuff uses too much to get any flavour, so I buy one up
Coffee - the eco stuff is foul and I like being able to taste coffee not an aftertaste - currently Whittard's at £3 a jar but it lasts me a month.
Tea - the cheap ones have not a lot of taste, again I go supermarket own brand.

I do it all because I'm scared.
  • Much is made of dropping brands down to the supermarket own label brands and it is something I have always done. In general I find supermarket own brands to be fine. From no-frills shampoo (but i am a man with short hair) to generic cereals, but some things I just do not want to change.

Heinz sauces, PG Tips, Sarsons and Coke-Cola are sacrosanct.

I am curious about the things other people just can not do without.

  • Heinz baked beans are the only ones we can eat, all the others are tasteless

I find it really odd some people will drink value/smartprice tea then insist on andrex toilet paper.
