The one i ordered for my mum has arrived

In respect to the ebay ones i did notice one sending 10% of the cost to charity (advertising as a charity sale)! seeing as the item went for £56 they're profitteering in the name of charity most annoyed.Money, Money, Money ..... Banks/Casinos/Bookies give me all you money its a poor mans world....0 -
Just taken delivery of my Buckley poppy. My order status on the website still says "not yet dispatched" so guess they may be struggling to cope with the orders/IT. It's really nice
Smashed through my weightloss target. Looking at 120lbs+ loss. BMI over 40 down to 20.5. Training hard to get body fat under 20%, not far to go now :j0 -
Mine has arrived today as well, really pleased with it, but still think they need to keep the customer a little more in the loop!0

Shall finally be able to wear it with pride :j0 -
I have just ordered 2 - one for me and one for my mum (prob a tree present for Christmas)
Although the webpage states
*Please note if you order this item we cannot dispatch your Buckley Poppy Brooch until new stocks arrive early December*
but there is also an "In stock" counter just below the price - which was at 212 when I place my order at 08.00am!
My mum carried the standard for the Womens section of the Royal British Legion for a number of years, and my Pap would read out the names of fallen soldiers at the Remembrance Window on Remembrance Sunday. As kids, my sister & I used to hate going. The church was cold and we got bored.
But that was because it was in the past. In this current climate, we all know of someone fighting today - in this day and age. And whilst it may not be for the same reasons as previous wars, it is still a war none-the-less.
I will hopefully be able to bring my 21-month-old up to appreciate the values and implications of war - just as my parents did.
And I am proud to wear a poppy.0 -
I ordered 3 of the normal Poppy pins on the 5th and have yet to receive them. I know they've been busy lately but even so.....Illegitimi non carborundum.0

I, too, ordered 3 of the normal Poppy pins, but on 6th ... no sign of them yet.
If it's cheap, I'm cheerful!0 -

Sorry, but I don't think that's quite the point.
