I've pre-ordered mine for next yr now as they say new stock arriving in Dec. I just got a paper one for now, and will donate what I would normally every yr even though I'll probably just reuse the buckly.
  • Am I the only person who thinks these companies are cashing in on the poppy appeal!? The Buckley one isn't too bad as at least that's on the official site, but some of the others just seem to be using dead troops as a way to sell their over-priced badges!
Am I being a miserable cynical git again? :P

No, you're not. Anything purchased from the official site is OK, but I've been horrified to see the price these are going for on ebay, with no mention of donations.

It's a shame, but you'll always find someone cashing in on other peoples' misfortunes, and if that makes me a cynical git too, I'm happy to join you!

Is there a possibility that they took too many orders? Seems possible now they are showing as out of stock. My mum ordered one on the 28th oct I believe, and she's had nothing yet. I would have expected it to be here by now.

I ordered mine from British Legion on 31st Oct rang on Wednesday as hadnt heard antyhing but money had been taken. Told any orders received after 31st would go on wait list. Received mine on Friday and it is lovely.

The prices of some of the ones on Ebay are shocking. Many are charity auctions, and good for them as it will be a nice wee boost for the RBL, but most are not. Shame on these people.

Shame on the ebayers! I have just pre-ordered mine for next year, and as others have said, will continue to donate to the British Legion.

QVCUK.com have them in stock right now - I just ordered mine - £10 + £2.95 postage. I think they will sell very quickly so if you want yours I suggest you get it ASAP.

Good luck and wear it with pride x

Well I ordered one on 1st November and they have taken the money by the 3rd November but I still havent received it. I know its for a good cause but I do feel its wrong taking peoples money before they even have stock! And an email update wouldnt go amiss either!
