if thats the sort of dent a rugby ball makes on a Renault, they must seriously have changed the quality of materials they use to make their cars nowadays....I think you're barking up the wrong tree....

  • Thats right, if it had been something hard it would have most likely chipped the paint or left an angular imprint.

I doubt dents like that could be easily repaired, I also doubt the rugby ball caused them especially on a curved part of the bodywork like that.

I think the best thing for you to do would be to claim on your insurance, extremely annoying I know but you just have such little evidence to go on

IMHO there's no way a rugby ball could have mad those dents, particularly the one on the roofline above the rear window. You'd need something a lot more substantial to do that.

I would take it to a few garages to shop around for quotes/advice.

If you have something where the boy admits he did it, you may be able to persue it. If not then i think you'll struggle to say the least.

Some dents are relatively easy to fix. If the angle of the dent isnt too harsh, it may be possible to push it out from the otherside of the panel (unless its double skinned in which case i believe a plunger can work).

Although i would say before attempting this, definitely get it looked at as doing the above on the more harsh kind of dents may chip the paintwork or still leave the bodywork kind of dimpled.
