But if you don't believe it (and I care not whether you do or don't) - just don't read it. Its not complicated.

    Exactly so, well said!

I class myself as "retired" but do two unpaid days a week as "sweat equity" for a startup company.

One year in, we have a turnover well into 8 figures, and I just did seven days in a row including right through the weekend tackling an urgent job.

Things change, and the good thing about planning sensibly for early retirement is having the option. Quite how you exercise that option is then down to you.

So what if it's all made up, as mentioned earlier, the final episode of Lost was rubbish but I still enjoyed the journey.

I don't think it is by the way.

Decorating going well, but haven't managed to get down the pub yet. Still, there's always next week.

Well done Marine Life ignore the criticism its kinda like "Fake News"

The bottom line as far as im concerend is you have well and truly worked hard to achieve
    Financial Independence.

Each day from this point you can decide for yourself to carry on working or do something else.

If the company or your boss upsets you, so what you dont have to politely smile and suck it up.

I applaude you most of us on here would like to have your wealth and financial independence. You created that nobody else. Jolly well done...

I've been to the pub TWICE today....does that mean that technically I have retired already? Sweet, thought I still had a year or two or work left in me!!:rotfl:
