:rotfl: I missed lesbian porno spam???!!! Gutted! :rotfl:
Ah well despite missing that excitement, I had a good evening, met Mr S at Debenhams and got my watch. They didn't have any of the bracelets I'd been looking at in stock, but I ended up with these
and another silver one which I can't find a picture of online anywhere. Treats budget spend is now £37.
And then we decided we didn't really fancy what we had at home to eat so ended up in Zizzis having lots of pasta and wine.. impromptu night out, we don't do that often!
I sort of blame the counselling as I came out of that feeling quite positive - not entirely sure why as I found the actual session quite difficult. In some ways I feel like I'm wasting her time and should just sort myself out.. but some useful things did come out of it. In particular she was asking me about what I do outside of work, and noticed that when I was talking about certain things (OU course, gardening, hillwalking and in particular my second job), I suddenly seemed happier and more confident. Anyway, I have a task for the next week to attempt to face work calmly and confidently, and try to believe that I am 'good enough' and coping with everything fine... to be kinder to myself.Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
I also missed the lesbian porno spam as my internet connection collapsed, but what a great post to actually come back to, Squizz - hurray to lovely bracelets and Zizzi's and being happy2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Love the bangles
The idea of working 'calmly and confidently' sounds good. It's amazing how if you're more positive people do gradually pick up the vibes, and respond more positively. OK some will take longer than others.
Also I assume it's a bit like they've found in sports psychology, the mental approach has a major impact on the outcomes.
At the moment you're a good advert for counselling
The evening out sounded like it was just what was needed too0 -
It's going well so far this morning, mind you nobody has annoyed me yet today! I've got quite a few things done though that I've been putting off. Going to attempt to sort my paperwork out today so I have some sort of system rather than scrabbling for things when I need them.
The counselling is weird - I really feel quite uncomfortable when I'm in there, but I think it is helping.
Last night really was needed I think.. we commented that we weren't like people who lived in a city - we're amazed by how many people are out and about mid-week!
Wow I actually feel quite positive today - feeling happier for Mr S too as he's been given a really good task at work to get stuck into, and started a training course which he seems to be enjoying.Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -

I'm really pleased for you, Squizz, I'm glad it feels like its helping. Interesting that, about not being like folk who live in a city .... I wonder if you're on the move, or will you start to embrace city life more? The world is your oyster, for you both!2023: the year I get to buy a car0

I think we are probably tending towards more of a country life eventually.. although not really practical or affordable for a few years.
Calm and confident work is going well, having a good day. Calm somewhat shattered by getting my first OU essay back though - was shaking logging in to the website! Got 75% which I think isn't bad for a first one. Really detailed feedback too which I'll read later. I particularly like this comment: "it was good to see you trying to exercise your philosophical muscle"... :rotfl:Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -

The thing is.. is it a real muscle, do any muscles really exist, is it morally wrong to talk about muscles...? :rotfl:
Yeah I can see us living in the country with the odd visit to the city to go "ooh look at all these people" :rotfl:Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
