Very exciting! I've seen lots of businessmen have meetings at railway stations - nice to be in an upmarket restaurant :) I actually felt sorry for the people I overheard having a business meeting at the Costa Coffee on Lime Street Station one time :rotfl:

    Aw poor them!

It's Friday.... erm.. yep that's about it! Going to pop down to massage place at lunchtime as they haven't called me back, and going to attempt a bit of French too. We're pretty set on the Paris trip, just need to wait till Eurostar tickets for that weekend are on sale now; have seen a few hotels that look pretty good.

Got the week off between Easter and the Royal Wedding/ May Day bank hols - 11 days off in a row for 3 days annual leave seemed too good to miss! Not sure what we're going to do then yet - maybe a trip to my parents' for a few days.

Money-wise, got £220 in the bank and two weeks till payday.. don't intend to spend much over the next two weeks so I can hopefully get another chunk paid off debt.

Oh and my laptop is in the sorting office today - I bet it turns up today while we're not there and we have to pick it up next week now.....

Yep, they've attempted delivery, will have to wait to get home to see where I have to pick it up from now.

    Anyway, today's list:

    - finish chapter of OU book - yep
    - find sheet music - yep
    - start doing some BBC [STRIKE]Spanish [/STRIKE] French - have done 15 mins at lunchtime today
    - fill in allotment form - nope as you can only apply for one site and we can't decide which
    - give blood - next week
    - register with GP - next week
    - book massage which I've got a voucher for - too lazy to walk down there :o
    - get a bit more exercise - errrm not yet, maybe at the weekend
    - listen to guided meditation at least twice - nope :o

So, semi-successful, and next week is going to be pretty similar. Really cannot seem to find time to myself to do the meditation stuff.. . maybe I need to lock myself in the bathroom!

Been asked to do a few presentations at work - telling other people about what I do, so working on that this afternoon, figuring out what I'm going to say, and trying not to think about how scared I will be!

The meditation bit is difficult, isn't it .... our lists are "busy type stuff", and meditation doesn't really fit into that .... I don't know what the answer is. If you find it, let me know :)

That's a very good point Karma, I don't want it to feel like something else that 'has' to be done, i.e. a chore.. hmmmm...

Weekend was all about technology! Laptop was left at local PO so Mr S picked it up and it was waiting for me when I got home. And we finally got the car working again (new battery) so did a bit Sainsburys trip.. we seem to have bought lots of different food this week, after watching Hugh FW's Fish Fight programmes we have two lots of fish (sustainable of course) and a lot of veg.. got two veggie meals planned for this week. And no red meat, which is very unusual for us. Mind you we did both say on Saturday that we'd got a little bit podgy over the last couple of months, so that might be a good thing :o

Got a meeting shortly so will be back later with this week's list....

Is yours running now, Squizz? New shopping sounds good to me - I used some Hoi Sin sauce yesterday while my sister was here, I really liked it.

Mm hoi sin is lovely. Trying to keep up my homemade lunches this week, so today I have noodles with some veg with a soy dressing that was very reduced.

Laptop was up and running straight away (although I do need to sort out some software, e.g. Office). Spent Friday evening looking at Paris hotels, and it's been really useful for just looking up something quickly when we think of it, and reading online journals etc for my OU course.

So much for a list, not really awake enough to think what my aims for the week are! One of them will be to read another chapter of OU book but besides that.. get some sleep maybe.. so tired...

Tell that to my brain - I'm getting to sleep quickly enough but having very weird dreams and waking up a lot... yaaaaaawn...

Morning.. had an early night last night so got a bit more sleep, but still quite disturbed, weird dreams - I dreamt I ran 30 miles! I actually could do with running 30 miles.. feeling very sluggish and fat :o Need exercise but can't seem to get motivated to do it, just so tired. Had an email about some new classes at work gym but the thought of going out again in the evenings is just ugh... still I need to do something, or I'm going to have to buy bigger clothes!

At least it's sunny today, that's making me a tiny bit livelier.

Need to do some budget figuring out at some point, to get on with the nasty debts and pay for the next course I want to do.
