It can't be bargained with. It can't be reasoned with. It doesn't feel pity, or remorse, or fear. And it absolutely will not stop, ever, until you are dead.

I've been tricked into a new 24 mth contract by them using sharp sales tactics, 'Yes Sir, don't worry of you change your mind, you have 7 days to cancel from receipt of your new T&C's' - 'Hello, T&C's haven't arrived yet'… 'Tragic Sir, welcome to your new 24 mth sentence with us.
  • Hi, On checking my latest online bill I noticed I had been overcharged by talk talk for a service I hadn't requested. I was told I would have to wait until next month to have the amount credited to my account. This would have led to me being over drawn in my bank and incurring over £40 of bank charges. I told them I would have to cancel my direct debit to prevent them taking them taking the amount and to avoid bank charges. I was told that if I cancelled my direct debit I would get charged by Talk Talk £7.50 for non payment and £3.50 for not having a direct debit. Very sympathetic and supportive, NOT.

So I emailed the Chief Executive of Talk Talk, Dido Harding and she got it sorted straight away.

  • What a load of old flannel Nathan !
Why did you not ask for his info direct to you so that you could sort out the matter personally and quickly ?
No wonder your mob are listed by Which magazine as second worst company in the UK for customer service.

Please tell me who was number 1. Because any company that is worse than this lot of cowboys must be one horrendous company.

Who is funnily enough owned by talktalk.
  • Hi duggo1,

I am sorry to hear about the problems you have been experiencing. You could also try registering on the TalkTalk Members Forum and creating a thread with details of your issue. We can then look into this for you via the forum.

    Regards

    Nathan

What complete trash Nathan, and an absolute insult to people who have been struggling with the disgusting company you work for, particularly in light of a recent bereavement!!!!! You are seemingly useless, and/or gutless and/or witless, just like all the other twitz at TalkTalk!!!!!:eek::eek:

OP, email the Chief Exec - and for good measure, email watchdog (check the website for the email address) and also report them to OTELO - the process in buried somewhere on their website and you will need to write to OTELO and tell them that TalkTalk have refused to respond to you within a reasonable time. Send any letters you send by Recorded Mail.

NeverEnough, you have taken the words right out of my mouth! I have been in dispute with TalkTalk since April, when I legitimately tried to cancel a broadband/landline order within their 30 day trial period, needless to say it wasn't cancelled as requested and they have continued to bill me, I haven't paid them a penny.

I have tried to cancel verbally on the phone, sent 6 letters, the last one to Dunstone himself, all to no avail. I have contacted Ofcom and they didn't want to know, instead referring me to Otelo, which I'd never heard of up to now, this is my last hope of being rid of these cowboys!

DON'T TOUCH THEM WITH A BARGE POLE!

I hopefully have just had my problem sorted after nearly 4 months of no return calls, complaint taken down incorrectly, not listening/caring and the merry-go-round that is their phone system. I emailed the email address provided to Watchdog and it took a long time for them to reply but when they did they have sorted it and I am waiting for a cheque including some compensation. I'm guessing they had a lot of complaints to that email address but definately do it if you can't get it sorted any other way. I have fortunately now left them and I will never return, a terrible experience.

Tanks everyone for the support. Still not heard back so going to try the email address to the big boss. Have already tried the watchdog one several weeks ago and had no response :-(
Will just be glad when it's sorted - this is the last thing to resolve from dads estate

    Hi duggo1,

There are details on the TalkTalk website in the code of practice which gives various information on the complaints process for ex-tiscali customers.

@ DVardysShadow, you would need to send any court papers to the TalkTalk legal team at the following address:

    TalkTalk Group Legal
    PO Box 360
    Southampton
    SO30 2LY

    Regards

    Nathan
    Thought I would capture this.
