Happy new washing machine to me! Has just been delivered, now have to wait until OH gets home from work so he can connect it up and then I can get stuck into the large number of washing piles dotted round the house. Know what I'll be doing all weekend but am just so glad to have it delivered safe and sound.

went shopping this morning and couldn't get near the paper stand for two old biddies reading the local paper discussing if they anyone that died. I said excuse me but got ignored. Thought we were supposed to respect our elders? they made me so annoyed

Where did you get it from Ellie...I too am new to DC but hopefully I'll be around for a while..I'm also on frugal (4k challenge) and the NTN and sometimes when well enough I do the small DFW things challenge cos I like my lists...

I'm just sitting here having had a semi frugal lunch of homemade bread with home made peanut butter (really easy in the food processor) and jam and nursing this bad chest that DV doc will fix this pm...and waiting for my panniers I paid for off A with the voucher they gave me for the bodged kindle delivery...

After you've done your ironing do you fancy doing mine Ellie? There's loads!!!!

And have everything crossed to be shortlisted for a part time post at Mr B just 8 hours a week. I got short listed for the f/t post but had to withdraw cos it was f/t.... Just not up to that yet but if not I have my wee cleaning job lined up for next week I got from the classifieds :).....

So yeah..rehab and outreach (therapy team..I've never been addicted to street drugs) say I can phone for job updates cos that's positive recovery and I'm trying to get my calls to one other line down to twice but preferably once a day because like they are short staffed right now though I needed them this am (see my post on frugal) and like wondering how I'm going to avoid the cost of doughnuts this weekend bearing in mind I'm hormonal so it's even more likely  but not being able to go out for this am has been hard but done me good...

Before or after docs I'm going for my 75p luxury coffee (the other will be just tap water)...it's 75p cos the deal is £1 if you register the saver card online and then you take your own cup in and you get 25p off and like you get all the other perks like free whipped cream and free flavoured syrup for it just for registering your card online....tis the only way to do this coffee shop (Mr S) and the others can be avoided :D...

    Blessings alll

Erme, good luck with the p/t job hunt. I think if I managae my own ironing I'll be doing well, its amazing how much washing three children and 2 adults can generate.

How everyone is looking forward to the weekend.

Erme, I love my Mr S card!

Ellie, I was without a washing machine for a few months when I moved in here, it was hell, glad you're getting a new one, good luck with the ironing!

Great news Claire on both fronts.

    SRM, hugs.

I'm not going to a fireworks display, I can't really be bothered.

I got a letter today asking me to phone for an appointment for counselling, my GP referred me urgently. When I called they said they can't see me because I'm getting long term support from one of the groups linked to them. So because I'm getting long term support with day to day stuff, I can't get short term acute support to help me deal with mum having cancer and all the crap associated with that. So it looks like I'll have to try the charities or private places.
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.

Is he taking Desmomelts Claire? If so, they don't dehydrate the body exactly, they just mimic the effect of an anti-diuretic hormone called Vasopressin, which is the hormone which controls how much urine is produced/how concentrated it is (it is supposed to be more concentrated at night, so you don't need to urinate whilst asleep).

They work really well for some people but not for others, so if it does turn out to be a coincidence, do encourage him to go back and try something else.

This is only semi frugal (ditto whoever said they love their Mr S card) but for people stuck in the house all day it might be a good idea (not least if they live near a Mr S)....

I posted all the details of how to get a £2.20 starbucks for 75p here and I really hope it goes in next week's general email.... Cos it's amazing

I have a chest infection *sob* and panniers still not turned up but hey I'm looking forward to my veg curry tonight...just have to do some urgent washing up cos there was aubergine in my veg box this week - after 4 weeks of cauliflower it is a joy....

    Blessings

PS. It's amazing how much ironing this wee singleton can generate in two months never mind the resuable sanitary towels that HAVE to be done (though not ironed but they're nicer) every month :P....Och roll on the menopause is what I say :D

PS. Good luck with the counselling hunt Ames...hope you get something free... and SOON...

Ames, have you had a look at online support groups? Not the same as counselling but it might give you a bit of extra support until you can find something else.

Hope you are okay love. xxx

Claire I am so pleased to read about the dry bed this morning. I am truly delighted for you both. Will keep fingers crossed that it continues. I didn't want Friday to come because that means we have come to the end of our weeks leave. We have crammed so much in this week, mainly for others, but it has been very rewarding. I bought some pansy plugs via the internet a couple of weeks ago and just didn't get the chance to plant them, but today they have gone in and I have spoken to them individually and asked them to survive and I have even promised them food. Have just had chicken fhaitas (spelling not correct) and intend to put my feet up tonight. Tomorrow we are having a day out at a large shopping centre - haven't been there for a couple of years so it will be a treat. SRM welcome back xx
