More Ebay Free Listing Days 6th and 7th

great for me i've got a certain toy item that will definitely sell, starting at free p+p with start price at the p+p cost and i'll just sit and watch the bids roll in

ebay clearly makes more money on free listing weekends from private sellers because private sellers list more items, probably at higher prices than they would and therefore they make more in FVF. If ebay werent getting something out of it they wouldnt be doing it every other weekend.

I am actually very happy its a free listing weekend this weekend, as i have quite a bit to list that higher prices and ive never found that items dont sell as well when ive listed them on a free listing weekend, however i do find the items ive listed the weekend before to end on a sunday that then becomes a free listing weekend dont do as well, probably because people are too busy listing.

in the whats excluded part under terms and conditions it states re listed items are excluded!

It said that last time, I relsited some items, it never charged me!!!, but I did keep a very close eye on the listing fee bit when I was doing it.

Pleased to say business sellers don't support me as a private seller.
I haven't used the 99p, 100 free listings ever and usually buy on free listings days(find many of my collectables listed), have a laugh at the constant chancers listing in my collectable area, the same old carp at £99.00(every free listing day) but manage to pick up a few at a very reasonable prices.
I am considering selling a few expensive items this time no listing fees(a few quid saving for me) but if they sell Ebay will be quids in.

I do understand the problems of free listing days to business sellers, it is their living.

It is stated on this forum often, it's Ebay's rules so we must play by them even though we may not agree.

Your better off listing similar item than chancing it, you may have been lucky last time.

What really irks me in all this is the fact that Turbo Lister is Ebay's OWN software, created to help people make selling their items faster and easier. It was Ebay's own incentive to get people to sell more items, therefore making Ebay more money, in the end.

And now, a slap in the face, it says any items from such tools like Turbo Lister, is excluded in their free weekend promotions, is like Ebay now saying, 'we really want you to work hard, spend a very long time filling out our standard sell forms, and for all that time you spent, we won't charge you an insertion fee. We'll just charge part of the end value and if it didn't sell you wasted all that time over the weekend for nothing, well, ....erm, tough.

Two words come to mind about Ebay right now. No, not those two words, but PURE EVIL. :mad:

I wish I had read the small print...used turbo lister for the first time to upload lots of things, & have now incurred about £1.50 worth of fees, not impressed... :mad:
