Faulty Blackberry, contract, what chance I can get rid?
I have a blackberry 8520 and I hate it.
Had it since May, 2 year contract, and within a month or so it started having faults. I took it into the shop I bought it from, and was told (after 30 days had ran out) that I would have to send it off for 14 days to get repaired as it sounded like it had a software fault.
I left the shop, thought about it, thought I would see how I got on, and if problems would go away, as I didn't really want to send it away.....but now I have other things wrong with it, have some dodgy shadows on my screen, won't do what I want it to do, and I just hate it!!!
Is there any case for me to get a different phone on the basis that it has so many faults?

Sale of Goods act states the phone has to be repaired or replaced but it's at the retailers discression. If they offer a repair you have to accept it.
Sorry but it would need to go back and be looked at again, but you have no rights for a replacement.0 -
Try doing a software reload yourself. The networks release software updates.
