Npower Mess.

Of course not but that isn't what people complain about. People complain when the supplier puts the DD up to silly amounts especially when they are already in credit. It covers what they use plus some.
But this thread isn't about what you describe - it's about someone who was happy paying £120pm dd, but switched suppliers on the promise of a £70 dd, then got into a mess because of the build up of debt because the new dd didn't cover his usage.0 -
I was responding to an off topic paragraph which was an aside and in brackets which talked of "these threads" so not especially about this thread. Probably shouldn't have gone off topic but there's only so much can be said to the OP without people repeating themselves.0

Who knows what goes through the mind of someone who thinks £1,200 annual consumption can be paid for by £70 a month direct debit.
"MSE says I could save £300 a year by switching, and £1,200 - (£70 x 12) = £360, so that sounds right. The difference must be the DD and DF discount is much better with the new supplier."
"I'm so clever, other people are so dumb to pay £100 a month."
"With the £30 I save, I could get a mortgage and buy a time share in Benidorm."0
