I just checked my last order with debenhams i ordered 9.30am 2/10/2010 got despatch email at 21.30pm 2/10/2010 and was delivered this morning! so shouldn't take long to hear from them

usually the money in your account is ringfenced by the seller (it is not taken out but you cant spend it). If it falls through they should take this away but this can take a few days.

If they take the money out of your account then technically they have accepted the order and you are entitled to the goods at the price stated.
