Hi,
Anyone recognise Direct Debit to:- CRDTCRD DEBIT SUB
Just checked all my DDs and it showing a recent DD being setup to the above?
I do not recognise this company - anyone know what this CRDTCRD DEBIT SUB relates to?
Thanks

Hi StarM
Strange as I also noticed today a direct debit set up with this name. I have contacted my bank for to see if they can give me a company name but I am pretty sure I didn't set this one up!
Any information would be helpful!
Thanks0 -
I do have close eye in what goes in and out from my account and what DD I setup - pretty sure I did not setup this DD. If you get any infor regarding this please message back - in the meantime I am cancelling the DD.0

Is there an 'originator identification number' (OIN)? If so, then I'm surprised the bank can't help. Maybe go direct to BACS for some help?
Assume you've both already tried a google search?0 -
You are protected by the Direct Debit Guarantee if anything is taken from your account that shouldn't be. Your bank is obliged to refund you immediately - all you have to do is ask.
Having said that, CRDTCRD seems to be an abbreviation of Credit Card. If you haven't opened a new card account or changed anything on an existing card then it shouldn't do any harm to cancel the direct debit. Better safe than sorry.Hi,

I also noticed this on my account yesterday. I also noticed that my direct debit for Santander (debenhams credit card) had been cancelled, so i was wondering if they were related. Going to ring my bank today.0

I have a Direct Debit aswel to Santander Consumer (Asda) which is stiill showing as active. If Sandander has changed DD payee name, shouldn't they notify us in advance?

I just saw this an panicked... but it's my Debenhams card. It says "First payment" though it was set up years ago. Bit annoyed I wasn't notified that it would change name and say first payment!Target Cash Net Worth: £25K by January 2012

Could be dangerous advice if it's a valid DD and you land up with a missed payment as a result0 -

That is why I asked if they had set up a new card or changed anything....
The Direct Debit Guarantee covers consequential losses, so if it was a valid DD but they were not notified, then they have a valid claim for consequential loss.0
