Hi,
My partner of five years has asked me to leave his house by the end of the week or he will kick me out. We have not been getting on well for a couple of years but things between us have been getting worse and all come to a head.
Ive got no where i can go (no friends or family in the area) and i cant go too far as my child is at school plus i work in the area. I have no savings either and i just dont know what i can do.
I would be thankful for any advice anyone can give me.

Surely he knows all this and can't expect you to move at such short notice - or is he generally unreasonable? Will you be taking the child with you?0

How awful for you, what a shock. You say you have a child, is that just your child or between you and your partner? Is he chucking you and the child out?

Get down to your local housing office pronto and make a homeless application.0

Oh no, I really feel for you
I'm not a housing expert, so I'd advise a quick trip to CAB to see if they can give you more advice. And as above - register with you LA as homeless.
Is the house rented or owned? Have you contributed to bills, rent/mortgage? Is your child his as well? How long have you lived in this house?
Hope things work out for you :A:rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0 -
1. In whose name is the tenancy/mortgage of the house?
2. Is your partner the father of your child?
3. Does your child go to school in the area?
4. Does your partner work?
These anwswers will help us give you the help/advice you need.0 -
Also - a town/region helps as people may know of specific help available in certain areas.0

Maybe he is kicking you out so he can claim you arent prviding a stable home for the child..as youd be homeless..0

I'm really sorry to read your opening post Soda.
Maybe he may change his mind, give him some space and let him cool down.
If the worst does come to the worst, you can contact your local Council about emergency housing, they will likely put you ina bed and breakfast while they look into your claim for housing, but some councils will not - if they refuse or do not offer, be politer at all times and request t5hey give you such, as they must under the housing act.
If all else fails, you can contact Shelter, they can speak with your council and make sure they are following practice correctly.
I sincerely hope you manage to sort things out
