LOL yes and to think when we got Ralph (who has 1.5 of his back feet missing from birth) we said at least he wont be bouncing about on the beds or sofas. It didnt stop him.

Yes, they are lovely pics. I cant help feeling sad about all the poor dogs who arent loved as much though.

Getting ready, did we ever hear more about the doggie from Poland?

Mine have to give paws to get on the sofa. If they're dry, they're allowed on. If they're wet, they lie on the floor (with only the slightest hint of moping from the Lab).
    Nice sharp NO! works.

No works on mine as well (well he looks terribly miserable, but he does stay on the floor!) but he can't hear me saying no when I'm not around, so that's when he gets on the sofa!
I don't think I can hang on til Friday...

this will probably sound really strange, but my dog has never attempted to get on the sofa!

the other week i invited her up, and she felt really uncomfortable, jumped off after a couple of minutes, and ran into her crate!

If you do want to try to keep the dog off the sofa, have you tried giving her/him an alternative which may be more attractive to them? mine loves her crate, she has a really big poofy bed in it, and a blanket over top. it is also right in the living room so she can still see me when i'm vegging out.

the cats have no fear of the sofa! and, they even have their own chair out of the three piece suite!

haven't really tried keeping her off the bed, but if there isnt room, i just say 'off' and point, and she goes to her own bed (yes another one!) in the corner of the room.

Sorry Ernie, missed that bit! How about a dog bed, start training him to lie in it when you're around, and train him to choose it over the sofa?

He's got the comfiest bed in the world (just like most of the dogs in this thread prob do!) but he just wants to lie where "his people" always sit...

Sounds like my Lab- she always looks hopefully at whatever spot you're occupying...

Doesn't work with my dogs. They ignore me when it comes to the sofa...they think it's theirs!

lol, had that problem with the Lab initially- she's very wilful, and glares better than most humans....
