We are talking a simple photo desk calender, meant as a stocking filler/small gift - less than a fiver!
Many appologies, I didn't mean to offend. I have had various printed samples from Vista to see if they'd be suitable for my customers, sadly their print method means that Vista products fall below an acceptable standard for our use.
I just thought it fair to let everyone on the board to know what they'd be getting. I didn't want anyone having too high expectations and be disappointed with the results.
You are quite right, they are only a fiver so it probably doesn't really matter.0 -

Staples do a very good job and take great care to make your creation look professional,.. but beware of their pricing.
Last year I was charged £1.30 (per calendar) in September.. but as Xmas approached it had gone up to £4.99! This price was for the wire binding plus the addition of a front and back cover, which I didn't need.
I argued with them and finally they agreed to drop the price to £2.99 for wire binding only.
Still a far cry from the £1.30 Sept price! Staples are one of the many companies that get greedy during the holiday season!
If anyone knows of a shop that offers wire binding any cheaper please yell
Thanks for that - I might pop in and see what they are charging at the moment! Which way round do you do yours - do they bind on the long or short edge?0 -
I've just rung Staples about binding. Initially she nearly gave me a heart attack when she quoted £8.99, but when she double checked, she changed that to £1.30 - proper wire binding, long or short side, complete with the little hanging bit. £8.99 was how much they charged for them doing the complete calender, although I'm not sure what that included.0

I got our calendars from www.top-gifts.co.uk, see post http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=421179&page=25. Put my kids photos on them and they are going to be Christmas gifts to their grandparents.
They do A3 photo calendars and A4 photo calendars - you can even put all your birthdays and anniversaries on there as well. Discount code DISC10 gets you 10% discount there.0 -
Another idea is a photo collage in a frame.I`ve had 2 done now from Snapfish and everyone who sees them have commented on the quality of them.I have 2 sizes and both together only came to about £10 .0

Thought I'd do things a little earlier this year. Last week I used www.top-gifts.co.uk again to do our personalised calendars for Christmas. Tried the DISC10 code again and was chuffed to see it still give the 10% discount. Got them in the post this morning and they are.
I'm after a place that can do massive print outs from digital photos (I'm thinking something like a 30 inch x 20 inch kind of size for a wall). Anyone know of somewhere that does this sort of thing cheap?0 -
Love this idea, will maybe try something similar for Christmas this year too
Sorry, not sure where you'd get something that size done though:A Luke 6:38 :AThe above post is either from personal experience or is my opinion based on the person God has made me and the way I understand things. Please don't be offended if that opinion differs from yours, but feel free to click the 'Thanks' button if it's at all helpful!0 -

I got a canvas print from this chap:

07779572661 he's on Ebay. I compared his prices with many other places and he was much cheaper. I actually got him from another MSE thread but if you want a big print then I can recommend him highly.0
