Telecoms credit reclaiming. Guide discussion

In my experience no mobile phone provider has ever refunded a final credit balance automatically. The latest offender is Vodafone (supposed automatic) but I have had to request a final bill, request a refund, chase it twice and still getting a load of waffle from the customer service people. Ofcom should force all providers to automatically issue a final bill and refund credit balances0

I've been with O2 since Orange disappeared/merged...
So a long time..
Anyhoo, I was just perusing this site (As I've just used uSwitch to change my energy provider...save £353!!!) and noticed this.
I have always heard that my account was in credit but assumed (WRONGLY-NEVER ASSUME!!) that the credit would be taken off my bill.
Well a quick phone call refunded me £26.
Thanks, it was just stuck in the ethernet!!0
