I have ours tomorrow, funny how they have the book fair at the same time eh hmmmm.
I have to admit I really worked with DD with her reading and writing etc when she was in nursery and I pushed her but she wanted to learn but my DS didnt want to know about it at all so I didnt want to push him. He has struggled with reading and writing and is only just sort of coming into line for his age. I was worried for a while and his teacher said that he might need extra help. I felt really guilty but he just didnt want to sit down and write and I didnt want to force him. We would do stories together where I did a line then he did etc, and shopping lists. His reading has come on loads now though.
Well done Sam xxMPs left feb '08 276- Dec 13 36 :T MB Jan 10 ~ £82,377 Dec 13 ~ £29987

So I got £5 for my bags of clothes, not great but it saved me taking it to the chazza.
I've been busy on surveys, I'm hoping to get enough vouchers to buy some blurays before our holiday at the end of April. Lots of maximiles surveys but I got screened out of everything on Toluna and VO. I'm only 75p off on VO so I was really annoyed to be screened out of 4!
Managed to do a reasonable food shop for the week. Hoping not to spend anything over the weekend. We haven't planned anything as I wanted to stay in in case we got any viewers, and I'm working tomorrow night.
I have the burning desire for a chinese takeaway, so I'm trying to resist. Won't be easy.......0 -
I have really fizzled out with surveys at the moment, as been too tired to do them.
I keep thinking when I withdraw from paypal to treat us to takeaway but we end up at the chippy as its cheaper.
Any more viewings booked?MPs left feb '08 276- Dec 13 36 :T MB Jan 10 ~ £82,377 Dec 13 ~ £29987

It's been a fairly frugal few days here.
I spent in the post office yesterday. An ebay parcel and a pack of sausages!
Sam wanted some goggles for swimming lessons too so I bought him those. He's making lots of progress and has started to swim short distances with floats so it's a little reward for him.
Nothing is happening on the house move front which is really depressing. I don't like to hang about once I've decided on something!
I went to work yesterday on my day off! I can't believe I did that. :rotfl:Thats the problem with not having fixed days. So that cost in petrol, but I did manage to talk the car park attendant into letting me out without paying. I'm off until Thursday now.
Today, I might go over to Hobbycraft later. I've got £80 in vouchers and I need some jewellery pliers to mend a necklace. I've got surveys to do first. I've also decided that I should lose a stone, I got asked to be a bridesmaid yesterday so I need to look fantastic for that. I was really flattered to be asked.0 -
I've never been a bridesmaid and dont think I would want to be, rather be in the corner lol
I have a necklace thats needs fixing shall I bring it Wednesday(are we still on for tomorrow?)
Cant believe you went to work hahaMPs left feb '08 276- Dec 13 36 :T MB Jan 10 ~ £82,377 Dec 13 ~ £29987

I've been a bridesmaid twice - pulled my husband second time
Going to HC now so bring your necklace over and I'll see what I can do - considering I am an amateur and never made/fixed any jewellery before.0 -
Its only a hook that needs tightening lol
So are you starting jewellery making then? An old friend of mine does it, she has jewellery parties etc. and gets other people to have jewellery parties for commission sales.
I could pm you her site to have a nosey if I can find it again lol.MPs left feb '08 276- Dec 13 36 :T MB Jan 10 ~ £82,377 Dec 13 ~ £29987

I've got the tools so I imagine I can manage that.
I don't think I will make stuff to sell, I'll just make stuff for me. I have mended three necklaces I had which were broken and I do love jewellery so I can adapt and reuse old things to make new stuff.
Lots of deposits in my bank account today, maintenance, Paypal and GM. Moved all of that and some money left over from being frugal this month into the savings. Up to £4861.22 now. :j
I think I have run out of things to sell from around the house. It's just down to surveys and clicks now, as well as generally being frugal. Hoping the budget does lots of nice things for me. Raising tax on things I don't buy and lowering tax on things I do buy would be great.

I got paid from my zero hours job today and had a bit of a tax rebate in there so I transfered that over to my house savings/op pot. I have over £5k so I'm really pleased. I'm hoping to get it up to £6250 by mid April. I still have child benefit, my other wages to go and commission from Usborne as I managed to earn from my old team this month despite doing no work since last year so it's a nice bonus. The rest will have to be saved from daily spends, surveys etc. Either that or win the lottery.
I did treat myself from the tax rebate to some sunglasses. I bought 3 pairs as I lose or damage them and at £2.99 a pair it wasn't so bad!
The house market is so slow, we've only had two viewers in over 2 weeks. I just want to move. The house I like has been reduced to £175k from £180k. I would have paid £180k if I could sell mine. I don't want to reduce mine as I know it's early days and its the lack of buyers about.
Today I'm going to be sorting out the house ready for the weekend. I'm working tonight so the boys (OH included) will be fending for themselves tomorrow. I dread waking up to the destruction they create.

It is so frustrating trying to sell at the minute, luckily we sold in Dec but had been on since Feb. My OH had been looking at other properties since then, and saw many she loved.
Until you get an offer on yours all you end up doing is teasing yourself.
Fingers crossed you get a buyer pronto!
