...and relax! I'm so glad to pack the boys off to school today. I can actually tidy up without it getting messy again (until 3:15)
I've done all my errands today, including end of the month finances.
I woke up to find I've sold a book on GM (one of 80+ I have listed), so I have posted that and the ebay parcel I sold on Saturday.
I've got 5 things on ebay at the moment and they all have at least 3 watchers, so fingers crossed I'll do well on those. I am decluttering everything, but this was mostly my craft stash.
End of the month finances look good. Waiting for hubbys oney to come into my account before I can properly move it to the right places. Once bills, daily spends (food/petrol/entertainment etc) I can save ALL of my wages and some more. :jI worked lots of hours in my temp job during January so February's pay was really good. I didn't do much temp work in February so I won't earn much at the end of March.
My only OP will be the regular £22ish I pay to round it up. I'll put the rest in my savings account, along with my ebay/GM money. I've raided the emergency account too which had just over £1000 in it, this is now in savings account. The emergency account is the child benefit account which I ignore and have always turned to in times of emergency.
I will post proper figures later in the month once everything has cleared into my account. I'm going to class it as OP even though it's not strictly.0 -
Today will be a low spend day, I was hoping for a NSD, but I realised that if I walked to the shop today I could get enough food to feed us for the week if I used up food from the freezer. I managed to spend £5.58 and I avoided the tempting chocolate :j:j:j:j:j:j
I'm such a rubbish cook and I've been trying to up my game a bit, so I bought some children's cook books and I'm cooking some nice things now.
Today, I'm planning to do some general housework, watch a bit of tv, bake some banana muffins (baking isn't cooking, I can do baking!), iron hubby's shirts and then maybe do some surveys.
I haven't done any surveys for ages. I do them all religiously for a few weeks and then I stop. I wonder if I should maybe limit it to a specific amount of time per day. What does everyone else do?
I'm having a cuppa with pammyj74 later , I did wave at her this morning but we still haven't met up. Looking forward to that.0 -
I had a lovely cuppa with Pam yesterday, for 2 hours! All the children played really nicely. I think we may have found an MSE hobby
Spurred on by Pam's visit and a house going up for sale eight doors down I have visited some estate agents. I'm having 3 valuations done at the end of month and (when I've done a nice bit of negotiating with the agent) it will go onto the market. It's so exciting!!!
I've sold another book on GM, and 2 of my 5 ebay items have bids on, everything else has lots of watchers.

OMG! What a couple of days! Well hubby decided that we should get going before the end of the month and our house is going up for sale tomorrow! Not very MFW!
The EA valuations have put our house at a nice level. Some equity to put towards something new (to us). I have spent the past two days shoving things into wardrobes and getting the house clean!
Sold a few bits on GM, done a few surveys etc nothing ground breaking but every bit counts. I've update my siggy to include what I am saving rather than OPing. It's so hard not to pay it off my mortgage!!!! LOL
In my tidying madness I have lost my memory stick so don't have my mortgage spread sheet  I last updated the one on my computer in January, I've paid off over £4k since then! It will turn up somewhere soon!
Off into town now to pick up new Pokemon games for the boys. I'm so proud of them, as they have traded in old games to buy the new game. Very MSE:rotfl:0 -
I had a nose online at the house near yours and there kitchen looks big but dark and upstairs there are 2 beds and a nursery/study and bathroom at the back, so like mine but bathroom is in middle. Looks like you have to go through study to get to bathroom.
Have you agreed a for sale price? Its exciting changeWonder if they think you are going into competition lol

So...the house has been valued, photographed and details done. It will be up on the internet later today.
We've decided not to look at any houses until we have an offer on ours. It will save disappointment if I find something and we can't proceed.
The house is in a viewable condition (everything shoved into wardrobes and drawers!) so I plan to spend all my freetime sorting things out and listing anything spare on ebay. All of this money will go into the savings account. Then we can take out a smaller mortgage to start with.
I've had to pay for the energy certificate but the things I sold on Ebay and GM last week paid for this so :T0 -
I have a 'For Sale' board.0

Good luck with the house selling Caroline. Your neighbours will be checking your house out on rightmove as I type!
Hope fully you'll get someone straight away. Ours has been up since October and we someone who wants to buy it but they have to sell theirs first. Its never straight forward is it!I can't be bothered updating this anymore0 -
I just had my first viewer, I think they thought the third bedroom was too small for what they wanted but I will find out from the EA later. They came up from London so I imagine they are seeing lots of properties today. I have another viewer coming on Monday.
I also had the energy assessment done this morning. The man seemed to think it was good.
I sold another book on GM yesterday and posted that out, I'm doing well on there at the moment. I'm planning on sorting out the kitchen cupboards today. Then I'm off to Pam's.0
